The Hunt For The Southside Kleptomaniac Continues

A kleptorobber suspect who is terrorizing local businesses is sought for multiple armed robberies, firing his weapon, a carjacking and shooting a 22-year-old man at a Southside Denny's Restaurant.

Milwaukee, WI - A lone unmasked male suspected of committing multiple armed robberies at local Southside businesses, a carjacking and shooting a 22-year-old man at a Southside Denny's Restaurant is sought by police. The kleptorobber suspect also is suspected of robbing the Backdraught Bar at the 3600 block of S. Clement Ave., the Last Drop Restaurant at the 1900 block of S. 15th Street and Reynas Bar at the 600 block of W. Harrison in the Southside. 
The suspects not only robs the cash register at businesses, but customers too, according to business patrons. The Backdraught released a photo of the alleged suspect describing him as a Hispanic male with Puerto Rican accent.
Last Thursday, the suspect walked into a Denny's Restaurant at the 4900 block of S. Howell Ave. around 3:15 a.m. and stole an undetermined amount of money from the cash register. The suspect also shot a 22-year-old victim who works at Denny's as a waiter and was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening gunshot wound, according to police.
The mother of the 22-year-old victim says, that at least ten people were inside the restaurant and none of them helped her son. The suspect took her son in the back and while back there, no one managed to call police until the suspect had shot her son and he had left, according to the victim's mother. The suspect held a gun on the victim's head and the victim struggled with suspect when he was shot.
A cook did managed to run out the back door and the exit alarm went off. The cook ran to a nearby McDonald's restaurant at the 100 block of W. Layton Ave. and called police.
The same armed suspect was involved in several robberies and a carjacking as well, he robbed a business at the 2500 block of S. 6th Street at 1:20 a.m., then went to a second business at the 2000 block of S. 8th Street at 1:35 a.m. and demanded money. After receiving money, he fled on foot.
At about 2:00 a.m., the same suspect pulled a gun at a 28-year-old man and stole his 2002 Isuzu Axiom. The suspect then fled in the vehicle and later robbed the Denny's Restaurant on S. Howell Ave.

Update: Police believe the same klpetorobber went to Chivas Bar, 644 S. 9th Street around 2:20 a.m. on January 31. The suspect drank a beer, robbed the bar including the patrons, then fired at least three gunshots at a camera surveillance monitor and fled. No one was injured. Police released a video surveillance of the suspect to try an identity him.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 23-30 years-old, and 5’8”-6’ tall and has a tattoo on his left side of the neck.
