Cónsul Arnal Palomera From The Consulate of Mexico In Salt Lake City Resigns

Cónsul Arnal Palomera will return to the public sector after 20 years of public service with the Mexican government.

Salt Lake City, Utah - Mexico's Secretary of Foreign Relations (SRE) has confirmed that Cónsul Eduardo Arnal Palomera, 45, from the Consulate of Mexico in Salt Lake City submitted his resignation last week effective March 15. Cónsul Arnal Palomera was appointed as Cónsul of the Consulate of Mexico in Salt Lake City in 2013. Deputy Cónsul Luis Enrique Franco, will become the pro tempore Cónsul at the Salt Lake City Mexican Consulate until a permanent Cónsul is appointed, according to the SRE.
Arnal Palomera was the former Cónsul of the Consulate of Mexico in Chicago from 2011 to 2013. Arnal Palomera will return to Mexico City and to the public sector for a professional career.
On February 2013, Arnal Palomera was honored and recognized by the Mexican Civic Society of Illinois in Chicago as the male recipient of the prestigious "Caballero y Dama Azteca Awards" for his contributions to the Mexican and Mexican-American communities in Chicago. Arnal Palomera while as Cónsul in Chicago established an open door policy at the Consulate of Mexico in Chicago.
He was selected for his administrations' open door policy assisting millions of Chicago's residents and for successfully working with the Chicago Mexican community to manage the second largest Mexican Consulate in the world. 
The Consulate of Mexico in Chicago generates between $13M to $20M of revenue per year for providing passport, visas, Matricula Consular ID's and other legal documents to Mexican nationals from Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin.
The SRE recently leased more than 8,000 square feet of office space in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and is expected to open a first Consulate of Mexico in Milwaukee within months to serve Mexican nationals in Wisconsin and part of the State of Michigan.
According to the SRE website, in 2007, Arnal Palomera was ratified by the Mexican Congress as Cónsul General of Mexico in Denver, Colorado and served in the position until March, 2011. 
In 2003, Cónsul Arnal Palomera was City Manager of the City of Atizapan de Zaragoza, State of Mexico.
From 2000 to 2003, Cónsul Arnal Palomera served as a federal congressman in the Chamber of Deputies, Mexico's House of Representatives, in the 58th Legislature. During his tenure, he was a member of the Commission on International Relations and the Commission on Strengthening Federalism.
In 2002, he participated in the National Democratic Institute's Political Leadership
Program in Washington, D.C.
In 1997, he was Executive Secretary to the Mayor of Atizapan de Zaragoza, State of
Mexico. In 1996, he was Legal Parliamentary Advisor to the Commission of Governance and Constitutional Affairs at Mexico's House of Representatives. 
In 1994, Arnal Palomera also served as Legal Parliamentary Advisor to the Miguel Estrada Iturbide Foundation.
Arnal Palomera has participated in several seminars in Mexico, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Colombia, the United States, and Taiwan on the following subjects: Political Management, Participative Leadership, Electoral Campaigns, Governmental Marketing, City Administration, Law, International Relations, National Development and Public Policies, among others, according to the SRE.
