Federal Bill To Deport Illegal Aliens Who Vote Introduced

A proposed federal Senate bill would make it a felony and an expedited deportation offense for those illegal aliens and noncitizens that vote.

By H. Nelson Goodson
September 26, 2012

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Senator David Vitter (R-La) has introduced a proposed bill, the Project Voter Integrity Act S. 3579, which would make it a federal felony and an expedited deportation offense for any illegal alien and noncitizen who votes in federal elections. Undocumented immigrants would be subject to deportation under the Immigration and Nationality Act, if the bill is approved by Congress.
Senator Vitter claims and estimated that tens of thousands of illegal aliens have registered to vote in the U.S., but he failed to provide any actual proof or any crime statistics of mass numbers of illegal aliens charged, convicted of voting or committing voter fraud along with the bill on September 20, when he introduced the bill.
In a news release Vitter stated, "While this may sound bizarre to a lot of folks in Washington, illegal aliens and noncitizens have no constitutional right to vote in American elections. And they certainly shouldn't influence the outcomes. Louisianians and the rest of America understand this as common sense," said Vitter. "My bill injects some of that common sense and puts teeth into voter laws so we can uphold the integrity of American elections. Of course we want immigrants to become voters once they become citizens, but our election system and our right to vote are being taken advantage of because of weak enforcement."
Senator Vitter's bill has been stalled and became temporarily moot since, Congress ended their session and recessed until after the November elections.
Democrats are claiming Senator Vitter is just attempting to create voter hysteria with his bill before the November presidential elections. It's common sense that noncitizens can't vote and it's illegal and already a crime for undocumented immigrants to vote, according to Democrats.

Chief Flynn Accused Of A Police Coverup By Williams Mother's Attorney

Chief Edward Flynn

Milwaukee Common Council and Mayor Barrett requesting the U.S. Attorney's Office to investigate the homicide of Williams while in police custody.

By H. Nelson Goodson
September 25, 2012

Milwaukee, WI - On Tuesday, the Milwaukee Common Council and Mayor Tom Barrett will meet in close session to discuss their request for the U.S. Attorney's Office to investigate the homicide of Derek Williams, 22, while in police custody. John Chisholm, Milwaukee County District Attorney on Monday indicated that he wanted a special prosecutor to investigate Williams homicide involving three Milwaukee police officers accused of negligence for refusing to render medical assistance to a suspect in custody resulting in death.
Milwaukee Police Chief Edward Flynn says, the department will make available all records and evidence to the feds, if the U.S. Attorney's Office takes the case. Calls for Chief Flynn to resign is spreading after allegations of a police coverup were made by local Attorney Robin Shellow, who is representing Williams mother.
Over the weekend, the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office revised their July 6, 2011 death determination for Williams from a natural cause contributed by sickle cell complications while in Milwaukee police custody to a homicide. A ruling by Assistant Medical Examiner Cristopher Poulos in 2011 indicated the examiner failed to review all of the evidence, including a police squad video showing Williams suffering problems from breathing before ruling that Williams had died from sickle cell complications. It was determined later, that Williams didn't have sickle cell disease.
Attorney Shellow confirmed on Monday, that Poulos had reviewed the video in 2011 before ruling Williams had died from the sickle cell disease because she was present when Poulos saw it.
The video showed Williams begging for medical attention after repeatedly telling an officer he couldn't breathe and was suffocating in the rear seat of a police vehicle. The officer told Williams that he was playing games, according to the audio in the video.
The Williams case was reviewed after the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel contacted Assistant Medical Examiner Poulos about new evidence and a video released through an open records request that was excluded in 2011 to determine the death of Williams.
The Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office reopened the Williams death investigation and is pursuing an independent investigation. Chief Flynn said earlier, that he doesn't believe an officer would be charged in Williams homicide.
In July 2011, Williams was arrested for attempted robbery shortly after being released from jail on a warrant for a child support violation. He ran and fled from police on N. Holton and E. Center, but was arrested by Officers Patrick Coe and Richard Ticcioni, who were two of five officers responding to the call.
Williams was placed on Officer Jeffrey Cline's squad who initially responded to the call with Officer Zachary Thoms.
Williams, who is Black complained to Officer Cline that he couldn't breathe and the officer opened the windows. Then Cline left to finish his robbery investigation, while Officer Jason Bleichwehl questioned Williams in the squad.
Williams had complained about his breathing problem for at least fifteen minutes before slumping over and stopped breathing. Officer Bleichwehl attempted to give CPR to Williams, but failed to resuscitate Williams.
Chief Flynn has placed three of the officers in administrative duty until the outcome of Williams case. The U.S. Attorney's Office is expected to review, if the officers involved violated Williams civil rights while in custody.

A jury convicted Yang in October and it found that he did not act in self defense when he fired at least five shots at Lee and three other men. Lee was fatally shot in the chest twice and died at a local hospital. Yang was accused of discharging five 9mm shots at Lee and Cheng Lung Moua, 21, and his friends outside a Wal-mart parking lot at the 3700 block of S. Lee and two other men arrived at Wal-mart after Moua called them. They walked up to Yang's vehicle to discuss the incident and to tell Yang to leave Moua alone. But Yang feeling threaten took his weapon out and fired a shot at them. The victims ran and Yang continued to fire four additional shots striking both Lee and Moua.

Public Safety Plan Proposed For Local Police To Patrol Milwaukee County Parks

Local police departments in Milwaukee County to get stipends for patrolling parks.

By H. Nelson Goodson
September 24, 2012

Milwaukee, WI - On Monday, both Chris Abele, Milwaukee County Executive and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett announced a public safety plan that would eliminate more than $1.6 Million from the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department budget and transfer those funds to the Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) and other local police departments to patrol and respond to emergencies at county parks. The three year plan would take effect in 2013 and would also transfer the 911 system from the sheriff's department to MPD. Abele said, the proposal would save money, provide better public safety and coordination of 911 calls in the city and county.
Abele confirmed, that he tried to shared the proposal with Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke Jr., but Clarke hasn't responded. Clarke during a live interview with Charlie Sykes on 620 AM radio said, he was informed about the new public safety plan about fifteen minutes before Abele and Barrett made the proposal public.
County stipends of about $125,000 would be provided to local police departments in the county who already patrol and respond to county park emergencies. MPD would take over all of the county parks located within the city limits and would get $1.6 Million a year for patrolling parks and taking over the 911 county system.
The Milwaukee County Board and the Milwaukee Common Council would have to be approved the new safety plan.

Milwaukee Police Identified Two Individuals Caught Passing Out Campaign Flyers Defaming Former Alderman Witkowiak

Juan Carlos Ruiz

Two individuals admitted they were paid to pass campaign flyers in Milwaukee's Southside deemed defamatory against Alderman James Witkowiak. In an effort to get Witkowiak ousted from office and elect José G. Pérez as Alderman in the 12th District.

By H. Nelson Goodson
September 21, 2012

Milwaukee, WI - After an open records request by Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA), the Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) released a Memorandum filed by Second Police District Station Sergeant James Bunker regarding electioneering complaint in the last April elections. The memorandum by Sgt. Bunker stated, that he met up with Officer Doug Lemke on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 7:55 p.m. in 1300 block of W. Greenfield Ave. to investigate an electioneering complaint by several people who were allegedly placing illegal flyers on vehicles in the area.
The complainant was identified as Khaled A. Abidalrahim who worked for then Alderman James "Jim" Witkowiak. Witkowiak was running for re-election in the district.
Two individuals, Richard N. Lopez and Anna Macias were identified by Sgt. Bunker who were passing out flyers for a group called Citizens for a Stronger South Side (CSSS) with an address of 523 W. Mitchell St. That address was not a listed address, according to Sgt. Bunker. But the address was a property belonging to Alderman Witkowiak, city records show.
The literature in the flyers accused Alderman Witkowiak of taking money from business owners and also alleged corruption, which was deemed defamatory and untrue by the Witkowiak campaign.
Both Lopez and Macias admitted to Sgt. Bunker that Juan Carlos Ruiz, who was known to support Candidate for Alderman José G. Pérez had paid them to pass and place the questionable CSSS flyers on vehicles. Pérez had never admitted or commented to accusations that he actually knew the CSSS flyers were going to be distributed by Ruiz.
Neither Lopez, Macias or Ruiz were ever cited for passing out the CSSS flyers in April, according to Anne E. Schwartz, Communications Director for MPD.
In April, police confiscated about 120 orange flyers for inventory at District 2, after hundreds had already been distributed in the 12 Aldermanic District. The defamatory CSSS flyers might have cost Alderman Witkowiak his seat.
There are about 65,000 residents, including 15,000 registered voters in the 12th Aldermanic District. Pérez won by 1,290 votes compared to Witkowiak who received 1,204 votes.

WI Attorney General To Appeal Judge Colas' Decision Declaring Portions Of Act 10 Unconstitutional

Portions of Act 10 provisions declared unconstitutional by Dane County Judge Juan Colas.

By H. Nelson Goodson
September 17, 2012

Madison, WI - On Saturday, Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen released a statement saying he will appeal Friday's decision by Dane County Circuit Court Branch 10, Judge Juan Colas that rendered parts of Act 10 unconstitutional. Judge Colas ruled that provisions, which eliminates most collective bargaining rights for local, county and school employees were unconstitutional. He upheld that Act 10 provisions limiting collective bargaining rights do apply for state employees only and not for local, county and school employees. The law violated their Constitutional right to free speech, free association and equal representation under the law, according to Colas' decision.
Following the decision by Judge Colas in the case of Madison Teachers, Inc., et al. v. Scott Walker, et al., which declared portions of Act 10 unconstitutional, Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen in a news release stated,  "We believe that Act 10 is constitutional in all respects and will be appealing this decision. We also will be seeking a stay of Friday's decision pending appeal in order to allow the law to continue in effect as it has for more than a year while the appellate courts address the legal issues."
Judge Colas would have to decide, if he would keep Act 10 in effect until the appeal process is resolved. The case could very well head to the state supreme court and could also end up in the U.S. Supreme Court because Judge Colas cited federal Constitutional violations.
The final decision could take months.

Stevens was overcome by smoke, according to a doctor who unsuccessfully treated Stevens.

Dane County Judge Restricts Governor Walker's Collective Bargaining Law To State Employees

Judge Colas ruled that Governor Walker's bargaining law that eliminates most collective bargaining rights for local, county and school employees is unconstitutional.

By H. Nelson Goodson
September 14, 2012

Madison, Wisconsin - On Friday, Dane County Judge Juan Colas ruled that last year's passage of Governor Scott Walker's Act 10 law that eliminated most union collective bargaining rights was unconstitutional when it targeted local, county and school employees. Judge Colas' decision automatically returns all collective bargaining rights to those employees effected other than state workers. The law violated their Constitutional right to free speech, free association and equal representation under the law, according to Colas' decision.
State employees are only subject to Walker's bargaining law that restricts most collective bargaining rights under the state constitution, Judge Colas ruled.
Governor Walker plans to appeal Judge Colas ruling, which now became an upset for the Republican controlled legislature that passed it and a major victory for local, county and school employees. The case might very well end up in the state supreme court.

Undocumented DEAMer To Address DNC In Charlotte

Benita Veliz

27-year-old DREAMer to speak about her undocumented plight in the U.S.

By H. Nelson Goodson
September 5, 2012

Charlotte, North Carolina - On Wednesday, Benita Veliz, 27, from San Antonio, Texas and an undocumented immigrant will speak at the Democratic National Convention about her plight as a DREAMer in the country. Veliz is scheduled to address the Democratic delegates on primetime. She was brought to the U.S. from Mexico at the age of eight on a valid tourist visa, but expired a week later.
Veliz graduated as a Valedictorian of her class at the age of 16 in Texas and at the age of 20, she graduated with a double major from St. Mary's University. She's been a DEAM Act advocate ever since congressional attempts to pass the DEAM Act failed.
The last several days, more than a dozen of undocumented immigrants have been arrested during staged protests against Obama's administration policies dealing with immigration. The immigration issue is now getting national attention with Veliz being the first undocumented immigrant to speak at the DNC and other undocumented immigrants staging protests outside the DNC.
Ten undocumented immigrants from Phoenix, Arizona were arrested on Tuesday around 4:00 p.m. when their Undocubus blocked traffic near the DNC. The bus labeled "No Papers, No Fear-Ride for Justice" also known as the Undocubus with 50 protesters left Arizona about six weeks ago.
The illegal protesters were later released and won't face deportation, according to Vicent Picard, Spokesperson for Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Obama has been the only president that has deported the most undocumented immigrants during his first four years in office and in U.S. history.
Currently, there are at least 65,000 undocumented students in the country. Recently, Obama introduced a Deferred Action for those students who qualify and can temporarily apply for work permits and stays.
President Obama would have to get re-elected to continue the Deferred Action policy for undocumented students in 2013.

Federal Judge In Florida Allows In-state Tuition For Students Of Illegal Parents

The Florida Legislature discriminated against students whose parents were undocumented by charging them three times higher then residents to enroll in a state college or university.

By H. Nelson Goodson
September 5, 2012

Orlando, FL - On Wednesday, State Senator Gary Siplin (D-Orlando) announced in a news release that on Friday a U.S. District Court rectified what the Florida Legislature failed to do by not passing in-state tuition for children of undocumented parents living in the state for years. Undocumented students or students with undocumented parents were charged out-of-state tuition fees, which were at least three times higher than actual resident fees.
Several in-state tuition bills, including one that was proposed by Senator Siplin were rejected by the Republican controlled legislature this year. U.S. Judge K. Michael Moore held that Florida discriminated against students contrary to the equal protection clause of the Constitution whose parents were deemed illegal or failed to show their legal status and documention. Judge Moore ruled that such students may not discriminatly be charged three times that of Florida residents, as a result of their parents' failure to show legal documentation, according to Senator Siplin.

Bissonnette Facing Legal Challenge By Pentagon For Publishing Navy SEALs Account Of Bin Laden's Death

Matt Bissonnette, pseudonym Mark Owen

The Pentagon is challenging a former Navy SEAL's last accounts of Osama bin Laden's death in published book.

By H. Nelson Goodson
September 4, 2012

Washington, D.C. - Matt Bissonnette, a former Navy SEAL who just published a book under the pseudonym Mark Owen about Osama bin Laden's death is facing legal action by the Pentagon for allegedly divulging classified information otherwise prohibited by the government. The book was co-authored by Kevin Maurer.
Last Thursday, the Pentagon general counsel Jeh Charles Johnson sent a letter to Bissonnette and his lawyer claiming that releasing early copies of Bissonnette's autobiography in the newly published book "No Easy Day" and the anticipated release on Tuesday of the book violated his "material breach and violation of the non-disclosure argeements" Bissonnette had signed.
The Pentagon threatened that the government is seeking to take all of the royalties and any money generated by both Bissonnette and the publishing company Dutton. Apparently, Bissonnette failed to submit a copy of the book to the Pentagon for review before actually publishing it, according to the Pentagon. The Pentagon might also seek criminal charges against Bissonnette.
Bissonnette's attorney says, he didn't "specially identified Special Access Programs" or other Navy SEALs involved in the May 2011 raid.
Bissonnette during a 60 Minutes segment admitted that he hasn't done anything wrong by publishing his book and also claimed that the Navy SEALs involved in Bin Laden's death didn't support President Obama.
Bissonnette wrote that Bin Laden and his son were actually shot while peering through the door in different areas by the point Navy SEAL leading a three men unit to the second floor of Bin Laden's compound. Once Bin Laden fell to the floor, he was then shot in the chest multiple times by two other SEALs, which included Bissonnette. Bissonnette admitted to 60 Minutes that he fired "engaged" multiple times at Bin Laden as he laid on the floor while still alive. Bin Laden was unarmed at the time and there were two women in the room, who witnessed the cold blooded murder, according to Bissonnette.
Bissonnette's book account is in contrary to what the Pentagon and U.S. President Barack H. Obama have made public about Bin Laden's death on May 1, 2011 during a raid at a compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan.
No photos of Bin Laden's body have ever been released by the government to proof the Al-Qaeda former leader was actually killed in Pakistan. The Pentagon claimed Bin Laden's body was disposed at sea.

Naked Cowboy Banned From Sunday's Harley-Davidson's Museum Bike Show Event

Adams head of the H-D Museum security tells the Naked Cowboy to leave the event before he gets off his bike.

Biker in a cowboy hat wearing only a brief swimsuit was kicked out of the H-D Museum Custom bike show.

By H. Nelson Goodson
September 2, 2012

Milwaukee, WI - On Sunday, Aaron Adams, the head of the Harley-Davidson's Museum security kicked out a disabled biker that drove into the rally with his motorcycle just before 4:00 p.m wearing a cowboy hat, swimsuit briefs, leather pouch and with his nipples taped. The semi-naked biker identified himself to Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) as the Naked Cowboy.
Adams told the biker that he wasn't a female to have covered his nipples, then told him to leave immediately and come back later with "wearing some clothes."
The Naked Cowboy then left after Adams limited a crowd gathered around the scene from taking photos with the senior citizen biker. It seemed Adams who has worked at the museum for over a year lacked any understanding of the modern dress code or attire by some bikers today. He might have saw it offensive to see a senior citizen with his nipples covered enough to lead into a legal challenge by the Naked Cowboy for being kicked out of a public event with not so clear rules about their dress code or policy to attend such an event that included the kick-off of the 110th Anniversary yearlong festivities.
