UMOS to honor recipients in four categories at annual banquet.

Milwaukee, WI - On Monday, Lupe Martinez, the President and CEO of the United Migrant Opportunity Services (UMOS) announced through an e-mail that this year's UMOS Hispanic Awards Banquet will honor the following recipients. The recipients were chosen in four categories whose names were submitted by those nominating them to be recognized for their achievements and contrbutions to Wisconsin's Hispanic community.
Those chosen by UMOS were, Jessica Cavazos as the Hispanic Woman of the Year; Pedro Albiter as Hispanic Man of the Year; Daniela Cortés as Hispanic Youth of the Year and the Osvaldo (Peggy) Romo-West family as the Hispanic Family of the Year.
Cavazos works for U.S. Congresswoman Gwendolyn Moore (D-Milw.) and Peggy Romo-West is the current 12th District Milwaukee County Supervisor and Vice-chair of the Milwaukee County Board.
The UMOS banquet and recognition awards will be held on October 13, at the Italian Community Center.
