Milwaukee, WI - Sexual assault suspect Tony Tran, 27, will appear in court on September 21 to face multiple felony charges for 1st-degree sexual assault with use of a dangerous weapon and two felony counts for armed robbery with use of force for the sexual assault of a 23-year-old woman near the 800 block of W. Greenfield Ave. and a 28-year-old women at the 1000 block of S. 19 Street in late August, according to court recourts. Tran's bail was sent $100,000 and if convicted on all counts is facing up to 200 years (60 years each count for 1st-degree sexual assault and 40 years each count for armed robbery including $100K in fines for each count) in prison and $200K in fines.
The two victims were sexually assaulted at knife point and robbed. The 23-year-old woman was sliced with a knife three times in the suspect's vehicle, but managed to escape.
Police took Tran into custody on August 27 after the 28-year-old victim called police that she was sexually assaulted and her purse was stolen in an alley on S. 19 St. The victim gave a good description of Tran's vehicle and police were able to locate Tran's vehicle less than an hour later at the 1500 block of S. 15 Street.
While police were investigating Tran's sexual assault, the 23-year-old woman spotted police and she told them that Tran had assaulted and robbed her too.
