Tocoa, Colón, Honduras - Marlon Yasiel Pastor Mateo, 9, has become the Golden Charrito in the community of Abisinia located in the city of Tocoa within the municipality of Tocoa. Mateo has his own Facebook page as Marlon Yasir Honduras and has become a rising star sensation for singing rancheras, Mexican regional songs in his black Charro outfit. He was born with a disability and walks with crutches, but that doesn't keep him from becoming a success and winning singing contests in the region.
The Facebook (FB) person that administrates Marlon's FB page is Mayra Villarreal who says, that other people are attempting to exploit Marlon's talent, but that she uploads his authentic YouTube songs in her name. So, far Marlon's FB page has 42.8K followers and has more than 7M fans on social networks.
In mid September, Adán Fúnez, the municipal Mayor of Tocoa announced that Mateo and his family were awarded (donated) a property lot in the community of Abisinia and recognized Mateo's singing ability.
Mateo has posted some of his songs in YouTube, which have generated more than 1.2M views (check out Marlon's video) and has been performing in local rodeos, singing contests and events. He hopes to travel to California for treatment of his disability and people have been contributing funds for him to get the needed operation on his feet.
