Carlson was escorted out of the Washington, D.C. FBI building and served with a notice of intent to terminate in October. She decided to retire at 50 and will receive full retirement benefits as allowed in that age level with the FBI for serving at least 20 years.
Since the Carlson discrimination incident, Slaby won a federal discrimination lawsuit against the FBI and was awarded $75K. He was eligible to receive between $68K to $75K in back pay as an FBI special agent and a member of the Hostage Rescue Team. A federal judge ordered for the FBI to reinstate Slaby.
Slaby is expected to be reinstated this year as an FBI special agent, according to the FBI.
