Justice For Dontre Hamilton March Planned For New Year In Milwaukee

The Coalition for Justice-Milwaukee, Reverend Jesse Jackson and the Rainbow Push Coalition team up in Milwaukee for a national march and press conference to announce a federal investigation into the  Dontre Hamilton homicide by former Milwaukee Police Officer Christopher Manney.

Milwaukee, WI - On Friday, a national march and press conference to announce a federal investigation into the Dontre Hamilton homicide by former Milwaukee Police Officer Christopher Manney will begin at Arrow Park, 1000 N. Water St. in the afternoon, the Coalition for Justice-Milwaukee reported. Protesters and supporters for Justice for Hamilton will gather at Arrow Park at 2:30 p.m. and will march to the downtown Federal Building where Reverend Jesse Jackson, the Coalition of Justice-Milwaukee and the Hamilton family in a joint coalition to bring national attention will announce that the U.S. Department  of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have initiated an investigation whether Manney violated Hamilton's civil rights when he fatally shot him 15 times on April of 2014.
After the press conference, the protesters will march back to Arrow Park and later proceed in a procession to the Holy Temple First Born Church, 4960 N. 18th St. where they will hold a meeting after 5:30 p.m. to plan for future rallies and marches seeking justice for Hamilton in the Milwaukee area.
