Trial Began For Eddie Ray Routh Charged For Killing American Sniper Chris Kyle

Routh is charged with the cold blooded murder of former Navy SEAL Team 3 sniper and a neighbor.

Septhenville, Texas - On Wednesday, the trial for the double homicide of Veteran Chris Kyle, the American Sniper who killed 160 alleged enemy combatants in Iraq and his neighbor, Chad Hutson Littlefield on February 2, 2013 at a shooting range began against defendant Eddie Ray Routh, the murder suspect. Kyle, 38, and Littlefield, 35, took Routh, 27, another Iraq Veteran to a shooting range near Fort Worth. 
Once at the shooting range, Routh fatally shot both Kyle and Littlefield, according to the criminal complaint. Routh confessed to investigators from the Erath County Sheriff's Office that he knew it was wrong to kill both men.
Routh's defense attorney says, that Routh didn't know what he was doing and is suffering from PTSD.
Routh's sister informed police that he drove up to her place and told her that he killed two people. She then called police and notified them what Routh had told her.
Routh was later arrested in Dallas and charged with two homicides.
The recent release of the blockbuster movie that has grossed more than $180M, the "American Sniper" depicts Kyle's military service record from his authored autobiography. He admitted to killing 160 enemy combatants including children trained or forced to kill American soldiers. A reward by Iraqi enemy combatants was offered for Kyle's head.
Littlefield was a Facilities and Logistics Manager at Eagle Labs, Inc. in DeSoto, Texas.
