Rexburg, Idaho - Police in Rexburg reported that on January 23 they got an unusual tip when two suspects, Leland Ryan Kaimipono Ayala-Doliente, 21, and Craig Sward Holland, 20, while high on marijuana (THC) dialed 911 and reported that they were transporting 20 pounds of marijuana. Police were already on their way to the scene because someone had called police about a suspicious parked vehicle. While police were enroute, they received additional information about a 911 call of two men who called confessing they had drugs.
Apparently, the suspects were so high on THC that they though undercover cops were on their trail, were surrounded and got so paranoid that they turned themselves in to police. When police arrived at the scene, both suspects were outside of the vehicle with a wired dog cage on the ground. Police say they confiscated 20 pounds of marijuana worth at least $16,000 from inside a dog cage.
Both suspects were charged with felony drug trafficking and booked at the Madison County Jail, according to court records.
Police did confirmed, that they had no idea the suspects were in the area or were transporting marijuana until they called 911 to turn themselves in for drug trafficking. They were just a couple of dumb criminals, according to police.
