Sheboygan, Wisconsin - Police in Sheboygan have confirmed that Kevin Stephan Matichek, 33, was taken into custody and book at the Sheboygan County Detention Center on Friday for 2nd-degree sexual assault of a child under 16. If convicted, Matichek is facing up to 40 years in prison and $100K in fines.
The investigation is ongoing to determine, if more victims are involved. The case is being referred to the Sheboygan County District Attorney's Office for further review.
Matichek was first elected to the Sheboygan Common Council in 2011 and is running for re-election in the April 2015 ballot. He is facing one challenger, Job Hou-Seye in the April ballot.
