Hollywood, California - On Friday, a man was fatally shot in the head multiple times by Los Angeles Police. A witness, Jordan White snapped several photos and video after the shooting. White posted them in his Twitter and Facebook accounts and wrote, that the shooting happened in front of him and that "an unarmed man" was fatally shot by police.
Detective Meghan Aguilar told local media outlets that police responded to a call involving an armed assault in the vicinity (Hollywood Walk of Fame sidewalk) and located a man with a knife. Police then confronted the man and was shot multiple times around 7:00 p.m. Between 5 to 10 shots were fired by police. White posted on Twitter, "LAPD just murdered an unarmed man right in front of me."
The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died at 9:30 p.m. Police recovered a pocket knife similar to a Swiss Army knife from the scene.
On Friday, a man was killed by LAPD at Hollywood Blvd. and Highland Ave. around 6:45 p.m. for having a folding pocket knife. Police made no attempt to disarm man, according to witnesses who say, they didn't see a knife. (Hispanic News Network U.S.A.)
