Clemons Jr. Wanted For A Michigan Homicide Arrested By Milwaukee Police

Milwaukee police officers stopped suspect for riding a bicycle on the sidewalk without lights.

Milwaukee - On early Tuesday, several Milwaukee Police Officers Matthew Phillipson and Marte Ball spotted Maurice Darnell Clemons Jr., 27, of Michigan riding a bicycle on the sidewalk without lights at 12:46 a.m., according to the Milwaukee Police Department Source. Clemons tried to flee the area, but was stopped by the officers at the 4900 block of W. Fond du lac Ave. He refused to provide his name at the scene.
The suspect was taken to Police District 7 where a warrant check provided information that the suspect was Clemons Jr., a wanted fugitive from Michigan sought for the alleged November 28, 2010 homicide of Brandon McPherson, 19, of Muskegon.
Clemons Jr. was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service in Michigan for unlawfull flight to avoid prosecution and homicide. Clemons Jr. is awaiting extradition to Michigan.
