Milwaukee, WI - On Tuesday, Attorney Jason Cleereman, the President of the Southside Organizing Committee (SOC) Board confirmed that Steve Fendt, the executive director for SOC is no longer with the non-profit organization. Fendt's last day with SOC was on November 15, according to Cleereman.
Cleereman said, that Fendt and the SOC Board decided to part ways and wouldn't elaborate further. The SOC Board is now trying to replace Fendt.
When Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) contacted Fendt and asked what led to his removal? Fendt would only say, "You should ask them, any public organization worth its salt and worthy of its constituency would comply." Fendt had been the executive director of SOC, since October 1991.
