Chicago, Illinois - Last week, an online store established to sell vintage WLUP-AM 1000 (LOOP) radio posters and other items to help generate funds for a blog and Facebook account advocating racial disparity, hate and violence targeted at Afro-Americans, Latinos and other ethnic communities, including local law enforcement in the Chicago area has posted a promotional ad of a conservative radio station. The promotional ad by True News USA blog (TNUSA) included the acknowledgement and support for Steve Dahl who recently joined 89 WLS-AM radio, a ultra conservative Republican radio programming station. Dahl also appeared in the vintage WLUP-AM poster offered by the racist TNUSA blogger. The blogger included a U.S. P.O. Box in Chicago as an address to send money to help support his advocacy for violence against law enforcement and ethnic groups. The comments section includes vulgarities that promote violence from anonymous users on most articles, which are copied from other news sources and are slightly changed to include racial and hateful labels.
WLS-AM Radio staff (key team) was contacted about the use of the station's ID and Dahl's promotional ad with TNUSA, but none of the administrators, including Donna Baker, Vice President/Marketing Manager have responded to an e-mail from Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) dated November 6, if they were associated with the racist, hate and violence promoting TNUSA blog.
