Waukesha, WI - On Monday, Waukesha County Judge Michael O. Bohren ruled that both Morgan E. Geyser, 13, and Anissa E. Weier, 13, will be tried as adults for the May 31, 2014 stabbing of Payton Isabella Leutner, 13, who at the time of the crime were all 12. Geyser and Weier confessed that they planned to kill Leutner for months to please a fictional character Slenderman, then lured her to a nearby Waukesha park and stabbed her 19 times. Leutner was left for dead, but she walked out of the park and a passer-by rescued her.
If convicted, both Geyser and Weier face up to 65-years in prison for a felony charge of 1st-degree intentional homicide each.
