Milwaukee, WI - On Friday, dozens of friends and family members of the late Mixtecas Motorcycle Club leader Donald Lee Dutch, 42, aka, "Casper" from Milwaukee gathered at the corner of N.16th Street and W. Clybourn to release red balloons in remembrance of the first anniversary of the fatal vehicle and motorcycle crash that took Casper's life. Casper on August 10, 2014 at around 5:30 p.m. was traveling Northbound on the 16th Street Viaduct and while crossing W. Clybourn, Casper and a vehicle crashed.
Casper after five days in coma at a local hospital had his life support machine removed after being declared brain dead from head trauma injuries. He passed away on August 14, 2014 at 1:30 a.m. Casper was not wearing a helmet. The driver and a passenger of the vehicle survived.
A Milwaukee police report concluded that Dutch was speeding and attempted to run a flashing yellow light turning red. The crash was reported as an accident.
A video released by the MPD that recorded the accident about a block away shows Dutch riding across W. Clybourn on N. 16th when he was struck by a vehicle turning Southbound on the 16th Street Viaduct.
