Milwaukee, WI - On Thursday, Milwaukee police identified a drowning victim as Guadalupe Coronado, 47, a local security guard. Coronado's body was recovered from the Milwaukee River after he jumped into the water at 12:10 a.m. from the Miss Wisconsin touring boat on August 2.
Coronado was believed to be intoxicated when he jumped into the river and wouldn't accept rescue attempts from the boat crew or passengers. Coronado was seen swimming around and went under the water and disappeared. He was touring alone among 134 passengers.
He was apparently distraught about a failed relationship and with lost ties with family members, according to his Facebook (FB) postings in May.
A family member posted on his FB, "we have closure, we are a strong family, we always going to stick together."
