Nardelli served in the Milwaukee Common Council, was the Chief of Staff for former Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker and later went to worked for the newly elected Governor Scott Walker(R).

Menomonee Falls, WI - Thomas "Tom" Nardelli, 70, a former long time Milwaukee Alderman and Chief of Staff for former Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker died on Monday from a ruptured aortic aneurysm, according to his wife. Nardelli is attributed for reporting and exposing that thousands of dollars from a veterans funds created by the Milwaukee County executive's office was unaccounted for.
The Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office investigated and began a John Doe investigation after it was also discovered that staff members at the Milwaukee County executive's office were campaigning to elect Walker governor during county time. Several people were charged and convicted in the veterans fund theft and others were also convicted for campaigning during Milwaukee County working hours.
