Milwaukee - On Monday, the City of Milwaukee sold the former vacant Oxford Apartments property, 924 N. 25th Street to Odgen and Company Inc. for a mere $500.00, where infamous Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer killed most of his victims, according to city records. Dahmer's killing site had remained as a green space for the last 18 years. The city stipulated that no building should be erected in the property and must remain a green space.
Odgen is remodeling and renting 2-bedroom multiple apartment units at the adjacent North-East property to the former Oxford Apartment property.
The Oxford Apartments building was demolished in 1992 and the property remained vacant. Dahmer as a serial killer consumed victim's body parts to keep them closer to him. He frequent gay nightclubs and lured male victims to his apartment to pose as models for pictures. Once inside the apartment, he then drugged them to make them unconsicous. Dahmer later injected chemicals into their brains to murder them and have sex with the corpses.
Most of the Dahmer's victims were African-American, one Laotian and one Hispanic.
He dismembered some victims and dissolved a majority of bodies in a blue acid barrel inside the apartment. He was convicted of murdering at least 17 victims between June 6, 197I to July 19, 1991. Most of the homicides occurred between 1987 to 1991, according to court records.
Dahmer was sentenced to 15 life terms in prison, without parole. While serving time at the Columbia Correction Institute in Portage, Dahmer was killed by another inmate on November 24, 1994 at the age of 34.
