15-year-old Girl Killed By Brother In Milwaukee's Southside

Milwaukee, WI - On Tuesday, police took into custody an 19-year-old man who apparently shot and killed his sister Brendaliz Morales-Rodriguez, 15, at their home in 1500 block of W. Orchard St. The suspect had been in the room with his sister and the shooting occurred around 4:00 a.m., according to police.
Isabel Rodriguez, the mother of Brendaliz told police that she believes, the shooting was accidental and that her son who is accused of killing his sister has an understanding disability. The mother doesn't know where her son got the handgun. Brendaliz was apparently shot in the head.
Morales-Rodriguez attended South Division High School and funeral arrangements are being made to bury her in Puerto Rico.
The 19-year-old suspect is facing a felony charge for 1st-degree intentional homicide and the Milwaukee County District Attorney's office is investigating the homicide.
