Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Sunday, 18-year-old Izack Zavala was declared deceased after a fatal crash in the Southside of Milwaukee. Zavala was the passenger in the vehicle and his 19-year-old cousin, was driving the vehicle, according to police. The vehicle crashed while being pursuit into Milwaukee by West Milwaukee police after the 19-year-old driver failed to stop for a traffic violation along S. Miller Parkway and W. Lincoln Ave..
West Milwaukee police pursuit the vehicle when it struck a roundabout at a high speed of rate and went airborne striking a tree, which both Zavala and his 19-year-old cousin were ejected from the vehicle on impact.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office declared Zavala deceased at the scene at 12:37 a.m. on Sunday.
The 19-year-old driver was critically injured and he was transported to Froedtert Hospital for treatment.
Criminal charges are pending against the 19-year-old driver.
