West Allis, WI - On Friday, Joshua F. Larson, 31, an off-duty Milwaukee firefighter was released after being booked in the Milwaukee County jail in connection with two deaths in a fatal crash near the 6000 block of W. Pierce and on suspicion of driving under the influence on Monday. Larson is suspected of intoxicated driving and causing a fatal three vehicle crash that claimed the lives of Uber driver Yoruba Sly-Lundasi, 64, and his passenger Wendell Kenneth Johnson, 38, of Chicago.
West Allis police suspect Larson was speeding and under the influence of alcohol when his pickup truck struck a Uber van driven by Sly-Lundasi. Police are waiting for Larson's toxicology test results.
The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending against Larson, if it is determined that he caused the fatal crash and was driving under the influence of alcohol.
