Milwaukee, WI - On Monday, Frankie "Frank" L. Jude Jr., 37, of Oak Creek was taken into custody near the 2000 block of W. Lincoln Ave. by police after resisting arrest and suspicion of possession of drugs (cocaine) including violation of probation. Charges against Jude Jr. will not be processed, according to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office, Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) has learned. Jude Jr. will most likely be released, if his probation officer decides not to revoke his probation for having contact with police on Monday.
Jude Jr. sued the City of Milwaukee in 2004 after seven off-duty police officers beat him at a Bay View party shortly after being accused that he stole a badge. The badge was never recovered. The officers were all convicted in federal court for violating Jude Jr.'s civil rights and Jude Jr. was awarded $2.5M in 2012 by the City of Milwaukee.
Jude Jr. has a pretrial set for May 5, 2016 for one misdemeanor count for resisting or obstructing an officer. In May 2015, Jude Jr. was convicted on two misdemeanor counts for violating a domestic abuse injunction.
He was arrested in 2015 by Wauwatosa police for domestic abuse and resisting arrest after he allegedly struck his girlfriend. He was later released from jail after time served in that case. At the time, Jude Jr. didn't have enough money to bail himself out.
