Carlos Garcia Pineda, A U.S. Citizen Tortured, Killed And Body Burned In Guerrero, Mexico

Guerrero State authorities recovered a burned body that was identified as a U.S. Citizen.

Cundan, Guerrero, México - Mexican authorities in the State of Guerrero confirmed that the burnt and charred body of Carlos Garcia Pineda, 37, a U.S. Citizen has been recovered in the Township of El Cundan in the municipality of Coyuca de Catalán on Monday. The body showed signs of torture, had two bullet wounds in the back and Pineda's left ear was missing.

Authorities identified the body by a driver's license and documentation that he was a U.S. Citizen. Pineda's family has been notified and the body will be return to the U.S.

No suspects have been arrested in Pineda's homicide.
