Facing Up To 376 Years In Prison, Walworth County Sheriff Deputy Gerardo Baca Charged With 19 Felony Counts Including 2nd-degree Sexual Assault And Child Enticement By Exposing Sex Organ

Baca was charged with 19 felony counts in Walworth County.

Elkhorn, Wisconsin - On Friday, Walworth County Deputy Sheriff Gerardo Baca, 36, appeared for an initial appearance at the Walworth County Judicial Center for a court hearing to face multiple felony charges. Baca was charged on Wednesday with 19 felony counts that include 7 counts for 2nd-degree sexual assault with Intoxicated victims (40 years in prison and up to $100,000 in fines for each count), 3 counts for 3rd-degree sexual assault, 1 for attempted 3rd-degree sexual assault (10 years in prison and up to $25,000 in fines for each count), 2 counts for threats to communicate degoratory info, 1 count for child enticement exposing sex organ (25 years in prison and up to $100,000 in fines), 2 counts for capturing an intimate representation, 1 count for capturing an image of nudity and 1 count for stalking (3 years and 6 months in prison and up to $10,000 in fines for each count for capturing an image, intimate representation, capturing an image of nudity and stalking). 

If convicted on all counts, Baca is facing at least 376 years in prison with thousands of dollars in fines. A $500,000 cash bail was set for Baca.

According to the Walworth County Sheriff's Office, Baca was taken into custody, charged and placed on administrative leave.

The criminal complaint states that Walworth County Deputy Sheriff Baca while off-duty engaged in criminal activity involving underage victims about a year ago in Waukesha County. Investigators are looking for other potential young victims as well.

Some of the victims were underage including a 17-year-old victim intern working with the Sheriff's Office, according to the Waukesha County District Attorney's Office.
