Bryant wearing a black top had called 911 indicating to the dispatcher that several females were attempting to stab her and put their hands on her, but when police arrived, she was fatally shot by a White cop for brandishing a knife and attempting to stab several females.

Columbus, Ohio - On Tuesday, Ma'Khia Bryant, 16, who is Black and autistic was fatally shot multiple times (4-5 times) by White Columbus Police Officer Nicholas Reardon for attempting to stab several females. Bryant around 4:32p.m. called 911 and told a dispatcher that several females were attempting to stab her and put their hands on her. When police arrived at about 4:44p.m., Bryant could be seen brandishing a knife and chasing another female who tripped and fell to the ground at the time Officer Reardon arrived. His released body camera footage showed Bryant attempting to stab a female and then attempted to stab a second female by a vehicle when Reardon fired multiple shots striking Bryant who dropped the knife and fell to the ground.
Witnesses at the scene say that Bryant was just trying to defend herself from the females who attempted to attack her.
Life-saving measures on Bryant were attempted by another officer and she was transported to a hospital, but Bryant was pronounced deceased about 5:30p.m. at a local hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
At the scene, a police officer was wearing a Blue Lives Matter facemask and an unidentified officer yelled "Blue Lives Matter" at neighbors and witnesses of the fatal shooting, which was captured on video by a neighbor. The White cop who shot Bryant was also video recorded at the scene by the neighbor.
