Both Solier and Bonds facing life in prison for the murder of 34-year-old Alva Jr. in the Southside of Milwaukee.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Friday, Santos M. Solier, 25, was found guilty of 1st-degree intentional homice including party to a crime for the Richard L. Alva Jr., 34, homicide in 2021. Solier is facing life in prison.
Solier will be sentenced on April 17, 2023, according to court records.
Solier is the second suspect to be convicted in connection with the Alva Jr. homicide. The other suspect, Bryell C. Bonds, 26, pled guilty on September 8, 2022 and a sentencing hearing is set for March 10, 2023. Bonds is also facing life in prison for 1st-degree intentional homicide including party to a crime.
According to the criminal complaint, police recovered several video surveillance footage from the immediate area that showed Alva Jr. and both Bonds and Solier talking March 29, 2021 near an SUV by an alley at the 2300 block of W. Scott Street for awhile. Then Bonds and Solier backed up with extended arms with firearms while also firing multiple gunshots at Alva Jr. who was unarmed. The suspects then fled the scene.
