Milwaukee, WI - On Thursday, Bethany Crevensten was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and blocking traffic in front of former Milwaukee Alderman Robert "Bob" Donovan's home after he called police and complained that a White woman was walking back and forth on the sidewalk in front of his home. Crevensten in a Facebook (FB) video is seen calling out to Donovan in a loud voice about him defacing a photo that he posted on his Alderman Bob Donovan FB page.

The Ontherize414 FB page called for a protest in front at Donovan's home and posted his address at the 1600 block of S. 28th in Milwaukee.

Neighbors and Donovan will no doubt see a large gathering in front of his home this weekend.

The protest will give Latinos in the Southside an opportunity to also join in the peaceful protest to support "No Justice, No Peace" marches, getting rid of systematic racism and to seek accountability for dirty cops who engage in illegal acts and murder unarmed people of color, including to defund the police from acquiring militarized equipment and vehicles to suppress the population including peaceful protesters.

Since, Donovan has had a history of targeting taco trucks and creating an ordinance that would have banned taco trucks West of S. Historic Layton Blvd. on W. National Ave., which passed in the Milwaukee Common Council, but Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett vetoed the ordinance due to a public outcry. Soon after, Donovan decided to retire from the Milwaukee Common Council.

So it seems now, the biggest event in Milwaukee for the 4th of July will be taking place in front of Donovan's home.

Will the newly elected Alderwoman JoCasta Zamarripa who replace former Alderman Donovan in the 8th Aldermanic District and other Milwaukee Common Council members including public elected officials be attending the protest as well to make sure police don't retaliate against peaceful protesters for pushing to defund police and police accountabilty?

Word circulating in the Southside of Milwaukee, is that Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales went on vacation and will most likely miss the peaceful protest in front of Donovan's residence.
