Kapfhamer pleaded not guilty to an upgraded charge of vehicular homicide while OWI resulting in a motorcycle crash death of a 47-year-old motorcyclist at S. Miller Parkway Drive.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Monday, Joshua B. Kapfhamer, 31, entered a plead of not guilty in the upgraded felony charge of vehicular homicide while OWI for the November 2 vehicle and motorcycle crash in the 4300 block of W. Lincoln Ave. Kapfhamer was travelling Northbound on S. Miller Parkway Drive when he made a Westbound turn into Lincoln Avenue cutting off James Pulkkila, 47, who was heading Southbound on S. Miller Parkway on his motorcycle, according to police. Pulkkila struck Kapfhamer's vehicle, both had the greenlight. The criminal complaint states that Kapfhamer failed to yield the right of way to Pulkkila. Pulkkila died on November 11 from his injuries.
Bail for Kapfhamer was raised to $10,000 on Monday and remains in custody. Kapfhamer failed a field sobriety test and admitted to smoking marijuana before the crash.
