Washington, D.C. - DREAM Act within one vote to get 60 U.S Senate votes to prevent a filibuster. Measure up for a vote again, once vote is assured, Senate Democrats confirm on Monday.
Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) also sent out a massive email to it anti-immigrant and extreme conservative Tea Party members that "The latest information we have indicates that the U.S. Senate may be within one vote of passing cloture for Dream Amnesty."
Just several weeks ago, ALIPAC's executive director William Gheen in an email to its membership wrote his organization has used up most of their funding and was functioning within just a few hundreds of dollars. Gheen's organization has been part of the national movement rallying support against the DREAM Act and Immigration Comprehensive Reform. But ALIPAC might go out of business, if the DREAM Act is passed and signed by President Barack H. Obama, according to Gheen's desperate attempt to rally his troops. He even has accused his own troops of being "lazy Americans" for not showing up at rallies (Durham, N.C.) and hearings to promote his anti-immigrant sentiments.
Gheen has even admitted, that he is not racially motivated, but focuses on immigration law enforcement. His prior email contents, calling supporters and membership "lazy Americans" shows that indeed his is racially motivated, despite his denial.
Gheen has admitted he won't grant any interviews with the Spanish language media. He wrote in the latest ALIPAC email that the DREAM Act bill also contains the line allowing Janet Napolitano to arbitrarily waive any and all provisions and grant mass Amnesty to about every llegal alien in America.
"(2) WAIVER- With respect to any benefit under this Act, the Secretary of Homeland Security may waive the ground of inadmissibility under paragraph (1), (4), or (6) of section 212(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1182(a)) and the ground of deportability under paragraph (1) of section 237(a) of that Act (8 U.S.C. 1227(a)) for humanitarian purposes or family unity or when it is otherwise in the public interest."
