Dimatteo's body was located at the I-43 Southbound Lapham Blvd off-ramp (Exit 312A) in the Southside of Milwaukee.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Tuesday, the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office identified Jennifer Gail Dimatteo, 32, of Taylorsville, N.C. as the victim of an alleged hit-and-run fatality at the I-43 Southbound (SB) Lapham Blvd off-ramp in the Southside of Milwaukee. A driver around 8:32 a.m. on Friday, February 23 who was exiting the freeway noticed Dimatteo's body in the side of the exit road, just off the Lapham Blvd Exit 312A off-ramp on I-43 SB and called 911, Milwaukee County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched including Milwaukee Fire Department first responders to the scene.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office (MCMEO) also responded to the scene and declared Dimatteo deceased at 11:25 a.m.. According to the MCMEO, Dimatteo died from multiple blunt force trauma injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle. She had no shoes and no identification on her person.
Her shoes were later found by crime scene investigators under the W. Greenfield Ave. bridge and vehicle debris including a vehicle mirror along the freeway stretch that led to her body (debris found North of her body).
The MCMEO determined that Dimatteo was a pedestrian struck by a vehicle and final manner of death, as an accident.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office has an ongoing investigation to locate the alleged driver and vehicle involved in the hit-and-run death of Dimatteo.
