Ortiz-Velez (D) and Sanchez (R) in the Wisconsin State Assembly District 8th will face-off in the November 3, 2020 election.

Milwaukee, WI - The Wisconsin Election Commission reported the unofficial results for the August 11, 2020 Primary Election in the state. Incumbents running for reelection without a challenger in the same political party won a spot on the ballot for the November 3, 2020 General and Presidential Election, also non-incumbent candidates running unopposed for a particular party will remain on the ballot as well.
In the Democratic Wisconsin State Assembly race, Sylvia Ortiz-Velez, was unofficially declared the winner and received 901 votes, 53.06% in the Assembly District 8 compared to JoAnna Bautch who received 793 votes, 46.70%. Ortiz-Velez will now face-off Republican challenger Angel Sanchez who received 116 votes, 52.25% in the November General Election. Sanchez, beat Republican challenger Ruben Velez, who received 103 votes, 46.40%.
Incumbent and Democratic Wisconsin State Representative Marisabel Cabrera received 1,851 votes, 62.28% and beat Democratic challenger Christian Saldivar who received 1,118 votes, 37.62% in the Assembly District 9th. Cabrera will face-off Republican candidate Veronica Diaz in the November General Election.
Israel Ramon was declared the winner for the Milwaukee County Register of Deeds. Ramon received 60,132 votes, 65% and challenger John F. Weishan Jr. received 32,842 votes, 35%.
