Milwaukee, WI - On Saturday, a 36-year-old driver identified as Agel Navas-Figueroa was taken into custody after causing a fatal crash that resulted in the death of Jose Giron, 67, a well known political activist in the Southside of Milwaukee. According to Milwaukee police, Navas-Figueroa failed to stop and ran a red light striking the vehicle that Giron was driving around 5:59 p.m. at the 1100 block of W. Historic Mitchell Street.
Navas-Figueroa also failed a sobriety field test at the scene too. It hasn't been determined yet, if Navas-Figueroa was intoxicated or in the influence of a control substance.

Giron passed away and charges are pending against the 36-year-old driver who was taken into custody by police.
