Arlington, Wisconsin - On Sunday, the Green Bay Packers won the Super Bowl XLV (45) in 2011 with a final score of 31 to Pittsburgh Steelers 25, at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. More than 105,000 fans of the Super Bowl game attended the event, including thousands of people watching big outdoor screens in the stadium parking lot.
Quarterback Aaron Rogers threw three touchdowns during the game, including two to Greg Jennings sealing the championship game. The Green Bay Packers win marks their first win in 14 years. The last time they had won a Super Bowl was in 1997 with leading Quarterback Brett Favre.
The Green Bay Packers have won 4 Super Bowl titles and 13 over all championships in 80 years. The Vince Lombardi trophy is heading back to Wisconsin.
Rogers won a brand new red car from the NFL.
Arlington Cowboys Stadium seating became a disappointment for some 1,200 fans, including Green Bay Packers fans when officials relocated some of them to other sections of the stadium. About 400 of them were allowed to stand on platfrom corners to watch the game. NFL officials confirmed that the fans left without seats with valid tickets costing $800 each would get a three fold value refund for their inconvenience.
Last week, six workers at the Cowboys stadium were reported injured when chunks of ice fell off from the stadium. Cold weather fell to 14 degrees before Friday. Snow fall slowed down traffic, freeways shut down and flights into the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport had been cancelled slowing down the influx of fans into Arlington.
