Arroyo-Cervantes allegedly shot Herrera-Conchi in the head while he was driving his truck along S. 7th Street in the Southside of Milwaukee.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Tuesday, Jose Arroyo-Cervantes, 35, was criminally charged with two felony counts, 1st-degree intentional homicide including use of a dangerous weapon, and for 1st-degree recklessly endangering safety including use of dangerous weapon for the April 22, fatal shooting of Othon Herrera-Conchi, 52, in Milwaukee.
If convicted, Arroyo-Cervantes is facing life in prison without the possibility of parole for international homicide, and 12 years and 6 months in prison and up to $25,000 in fines, or both for recklessly endangering safety.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office booking record shows that Arroyo-Cervantes has a $500,000 cash bail.
Herrera-Conchi, originally from Mexico, was fatally shot in the head while driving his truck along the 1700 block of S. 7 Street on April 22, 2025 near W. Historic Mitchell Street in the Southside of Milwaukee. Arroyo-Cervantes was caught by a nearby video surveillance camera fleeing from the scene where Herrera-Conchi crashed into a pole.
The criminal complaint says that road rage ignited the shooting that killed Herrera-Conchi. Arroyo-Cervantes was driving behind Herrera-Conchi when he stopped to led a man cross the street, then Arroyo-Cervantes attempted to cut-off Herrera-Conchi as he fired at Herrera-Conchi striking him.
A video surveillance showed Arroyo-Cervantes get out of his vehicle and walk up to Herrera-Conchi's truck that crashed and then fled the scene on foot leaving his vehicle at the scene.
