Tejano Female D.J. Elizabeth "Liza" López-Galvan Killed After Being Shot At The Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl Parade And Rally Celebration In Missouri

López-Galvan, a local Tejano music venue co-host DJ (disc jockey) at the KKFI 90.1 FM radio station in Kansas City was reported shot at a local Kansas City Chiefs Rally and she later succumbed to her injuries at a hospital, according to police.

Kansas City, Missouri - On Wednesday, Elizabeth "Liza" López-Galvan, 43, of Shawnee, a well known radio co-host DJ for the "Taste of Tejano" radio program that airs on Tuesday nights from 8:00p.m. to 10:00p.m. at KKFI 90.1 FM radio was reported shot at the local Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade and rally after gunmen fired multiple shots in the crowd, according to police. López-Galvan was struck by gunfire in the abdomen and was transported to a local hospital where she later died.

The mass shooting occurred around 1:57p.m. just West of the Union Station, which 23 people were injured, 11 of the shooting victims were between the ages of 6 to 15, and one fatally reported. Three suspects were taken into custody in connection with the shooting, but one was later released without charges, two teens remaied in custody. One of the alleged suspects was apprehended by Kansas City Chiefs fans, according to police. Multiple firearms were also recovered by police at the crime scene.

The mass shooting investigation indicates that the suspects were involved in an argument between them and was not a terrorist act.

López-Galvan is survived by two daughters and husband.
