Mexico City, Mexico - On Monday, the Mexican Federal Attorney General's Office (PGRF) confirmed that Zafar Zia, 31, is facing extradition to the U.S. in connection with last Friday's shooting incident of U.S. Consulate official Christopher Ashcraft in Guadalajara. Ashcraft was shot by Zia in the chest while in his vehicle as he exited a parking structure. Ashcraft survived the shooting and the incident was caught on video camera surveillance footage.

Zia, a U.S. Citizen was taken into custody by Mexican police special forces in Guadalajara on Sunday and was turned over to the PGRF for processing and investigation. The FBI had offered $20,000 U.S. dollars reward for any information leading to his arrest.

Milwaukee Police Officers Anthony Rivera And Michael Boden Arrested And Cited For 1st-DUI

Two Milwaukee police officers facing disciplinary action by department after being arrested by the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office for driving while intoxicated.

Milwaukee, WI - On Sunday, Anthony Rivera, 43, a Milwaukee Police Officer was taken into custody by the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office after he was cited for 1st-DUI. Rivera around 1:30 a.m. crashed into five wooded posts and a guard rail on southbound I-43 near the Locust Street exit.

Michael Boden, 52, another Milwaukee Police Officer was also taken into custody on early New Year's Day for driving under the the influence of alcohol. Boden was stopped by a Milwaukee County Sheriff's Deputy near N. 83rd Street and Bluemound Road on suspicion of Driving Under the Influence (DUI). Boden repeatedly refuse to take a field sobriety test and accused the deputy of revenge. Boden was taken to Froedtert Hospital for a mandatory blood test.

Boden was video recorded by the deputy's squad dash cam saying that he knew the deputy for over 20 years. Boden called the deputy by name, but the deputy told Boden, it wasn't his name.

Boden was cited for a 1st-DUI, lane deviation and could face an additional misdemeanor charge for having a loaded weapon in his car while intoxicated.

The Milwaukee Police Department confirmed that both police officers who were off duty at the time of their arrests are facing disciplinary action by the department.

Jonatan Zuniga Announced His Candidacy For 6th District Milwaukee School Board Bid

Zuniga announced that he is seeking to become the next Milwaukee Public School Board member for the 6th District.

Milwaukee, WI - Jonatan Zuniga, a recent University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee graduate announced his bid to become the next Milwaukee School Board member representing the 6th District, where a predominantly Hispanic population resides. Zuniga submitted his nominations papers with at least 650 petition signatures to get his name on the ballot.

Zuniga is facing a challenger, longtime educator including one of the foremost creators of the Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) district Bilingual program and civil rights advocate Tony Baez who is a Consultant on Education and Latino Issues and former President and CEO for the Council for the Spanish Speaking (Centro Hispano). Baez confirmed that he was also seeking to become the next MPS school board member and his name will be on the April 2017 Spring Election ballot.

The current MPS Board member for the 6th District Tataina Joseph is not seeking re-election in 2017.

U.S. San Ysidro International Border Crossing Into Tijuana Closed Due To PEMEX Gasoline Protests

Major PEMEX gasoline protests at Mexico's border side caused the U.S. to close the San Ysidro International border crossing and diverted heavy traffic to the Otay International Border crossing.

Rosarito, Baja California, México - On Saturday, Alfredo Alvarez, a local Mexican journalist reported while live streaming on his Facebook (FB) account that the San Ysidro International Border crossing into Mexico was closed by the U.S. and diverted congested traffic to the Otay International Border crossing due to major protests by Mexican nationals against the increase of PEMEX gasoline prices. In the Alvarez live stream video, Federal Police, municipal police from Rosario and Tijuana, the Ministry police and other agencies managed to take control of the main Boulevard to the PEMEX Plant No.5 gasoline refinery and kept protesters from preventing fuel transport trucks to exit the refinery.

According to Alvarez, at least 226 gas stations in Rosarito have no gas available as of Saturday night and warned his FB followers to stay home because of a shortage of gasoline and to use public transport when possible.

Mexican authorities brought in barricades to block the Boulevard and entrance to the refinery in Rosarito and to keep protesters from blocking the back exit of gasoline trucks from the refinery.

Police escorts of fuel trucks will be provided through a back road avoiding the protesters, according to Alvarez.

Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico - The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is offering $20,000 U.S. dollars reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a lone gunman who shot and wounded a U.S. Consulate official Christopher Ashcraft in Guadalajara on Friday afternoon. Video surveillance in the parking structure recorded the suspect following the U.S. official and then waited for him in the exit where the suspect then took out a handgun and shot at the vehicle window the U.S. Consulate official was driving. Once the suspect fired a gunshot, he fled.

The U.S. Consulate official was wounded and is expected to survive. He works in the visa issuing section of the U.S. Consulate in Guadalajara, according to the U.S. State Department.

Esteban Santiago Arrested After Killing 5, Wounding 8 Tourists At Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport

Santiago arrived in a flight from Canada to Ft. Lauderdale and had a handgun in his checked baggage, according to police.

Fort Lauderdale, FL - On Friday, a shooting at Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport resulted in the murder of 5 tourists and 8 people injured. Lone gunman, Esteban Ruiz Santiago, 26, originally from New Jersey and of Puerto Rican descent opened fire at the baggage pick-up Terminal 2 killing arriving tourists and Santiago was taken into custody at the terminal, according to police in Florida.
Santiago will appear before a federal judge on Monday to face multiple homicide charges.
Broward County Commissioner Chip LaMarca confirmed Santiago arrived in a flight to Ft. Lauderdale from Canada and had a weapon in his checked luggage. He went to the bathroom and loaded the handgun and came out of the bathroom shooting at people, according to LaMarca.
Authorities say, Santiago had an interest, downloaded jihad propaganda and suffered from a mental heath issue.

Chicago, Illinois - On Thursday, Tesfaye Cooper, 18, of Chicago; Brittany Covington, 18, of Chicago; Tanishia Covington, 24, of Chicago and Jordan Hill,18, of Carpentersville were booked in the Cook County Jail on multiple felony criminal charges for aggravated kidnapping, a hate crime, aggravated unlawful restraint, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, robbery, PSMV and residential burglary in connection with the brutal beating of an 18-year-old White mentally challenged man, according to the Chicago Police Department (CPD). The suspects will appear in a Cook County court to facensure formal charges on Friday. Chicago police reported that an officer spotted the victim walking in a sidewalk wearing only sandels, jean shorts and an inside out bloodied sweatshirt in outdoor freezing conditions. Police later discovered that the victim had been reported missing.

As police investigated the incident, a concerned Facebook (FB) user noticed a FB live streamed video, which showed four suspects who are all Afro-Americans beating a White young adult. The FB user recognized one of the suspects and notified police on Tuesday, which police managed to arrest the suspects connected to the beating.

In the FB video, the suspects while cutting the victims hair and clothing with sharp knives forced the victim to say "F_ck Trump!...Fu_k...White people!"

According to the criminal complaint, Hill and the victim who are both from Carpentersville met up at a McDonald's restaurant to what was supposed to be a sleepover, but Hill drove the victim around for several days in a stolen van. Hill took the victim to where several other suspects lived in the 3400 block of W. Lexington in the Westside of Chicago and that's when the ordeal began for the mentally challenged man. The suspects and the victim fooled around engaging in playful fighting and it got out of hand resulting with the beating including kicking, punching and cutting the clothing of the victim while on FB live stream. Police say the victim was held without his permission between 24 to 48 hours by the suspects.

A lower apartment tenant heard the noise and complained to the suspects. The suspects went to the lower tenants apartment and broke the door open. Meanwhile, the victim was left alone, he managed to escape and ended up walking alone and disoriented when a Chicago police officer spotted him and picked him up.
