4 Latinos Murdered In Separate Shootings Within Three Days In Milwaukee

Milwaukee police are investigating four homicides over the weekend, which the all the victims were Hispanic.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On June 26. 2022, Brian Isacc Colón, 25, was fatally shot during an argument at around 1:20 p.m. at the 8800 block of N. 95th Street. A 68-year-old man was taken into custody.

On June 24, 2022, both Melvin A. López, 37, and Giovanni E. Hernández, 28, were fatally shot around 11:18 a.m. at the 3700 block of W. Roberts Street. López and Hernández died at the scene, according to police. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office ruled the shooting incident as a double homicide.

López was the victim of an armed bikejacking, he was fatally shot and his Suzuki GXS-R motorcycle was taken. The bike was later located, according to police.

Also on June 24, 2022, Ronald Cirino, 35, was fatally shot around 10:00 a.m. at the 1400 block of S. 23rd Street. The Milwaukee Medical Examiner's Office ruled Cirino's death a homicide.

A 38-year-old male suspect from Milwaukee identified as Carlos R. Santiago was arrested in connection with Cirino's murder. Santiago was taken into custody on June 27, 2022 in Illinois after shooting at Indiana State troopers who then pursued the suspect. Santiago jumped into the Calumet River in the Southside of Chicago naked and armed with a weapon, which the Lake County Indiana Sheriff's Office helicopter pilot unit assisted in his arrest.
