Drive-by Shooting Suspects Crash After Failing To Stop At Busy Milwaukee Southside Avenue Intersection

Police are investigating drive-by shooting that ended with collision in Milwaukee's Southside.

Milwaukee, WI - A multiple vehicle collision resulted around 10:00 a.m. after several suspects in a black vehicle driving Southbound at the 1300 block of S. 12th Street shot at a residence and then attempted to flee and failed to stop at W. Greenfield Ave. The suspected driver of the vehicle involved in the drive-by shooting proceeded to enter W. Greenfield Ave. without stopping and struck another vehicle (Blazer) driving on W. Greenfield.
Witnesses in the area heard multiple shots and then the collision occurred. The driver of the black vehicle fled the scene and his passenger who was injured remained at the scene. A Milwaukee County Sheriff's deputy who was nearby responded to the scene until police arrived.
The driver of the second vehicle who was driving on W. Greenfield was taken to the hospital to be checked out.
The Milwaukee Fire Department also responded to the scene. The street remained closed while police investigated the crime scene.
