34-year-old Woman Shot A 29-Year-Old Woman Over Altercation

Police are investigating a shooting incident that left 29-year-old woman hospitalized and a 34-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the incident.

Milwaukee, WI - On Saturday, Savanah Laws, 34, was taken into custody after she allegedly shot a 29-year-old woman who went to Savanah's home looking for an altercation. The 29-year-old woman who was shot confirmed that she was doing fine on her Facebook account under the name of Love Jones.
The shooting occurred around 8:30 p.m. near N. 17th Street and W. Locust Ave. Laws is facing multiple felony charges and municipal charges as well.
Also other shooting incidents reported by police:

• On Monday, two men ages 22 and 23 were reported shot during an altercation with a group around 8:00 a.m. near N. 26th and W. Atkinson. Both men suffered non-life threatening injuries.

• A 24-year-old man was reported shot during an altercation with group of men around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday at S. 35th St. And W. Burnham. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries. Police are looking for suspects.

• On Sunday, Teresa Wade, 24, was found dead at  N. 35th and W. Hampton.  Wade was apparently shot around 5:30 p.m. during an altercation at a gas station parking lot on N. Teutonia and W. Hampton. A 23-year-old woman was arrested in connection with her death.

• On Saturday, a 37-year-old man was fatally shot around 1:30 p.m. after getting into an altercation with a group of men. The shooting occurred near N. 29th and W. Vine.

• A 27-year-old woman and a 7-year-old girl were reported shot around 3:15 p.m. at N.67th and W. Keefe on Saturday. The female victim and a man got into an argument and a gun went off injuring both the female and child. A male suspect is sought in connection with the shootings.

• A 27-year-old man and an 8-year-old boy were shot on Saturday around 8:40 p.m. at N. 62nd and W. Kaul. They suffered non-life threatening injuries. Suspects are being sought, according to police.

• A 29-year-old man was reported shot around 10:45 p.m. on Saturday at N. 54 and W. Chambers and was taken to a local hospital where he later died. Police continue to investigate the homicide.

• Milwaukee Police are investigating a shooting that happened around 11:20 a.m. on May 25 in the 1800 block of W. Greenfield Avenue. The victim, a 46-year-old Milwaukee man, was shot during circumstances that remain unclear at this time. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries. MPD continues to search for suspect(s) and seek a motive.

• Milwaukee Police are investigating a shooting that happened around 12:30 p.m. on May 25 in the 4400 block of N. 29th Street.  The victim, a 24-year-old male, sustained a non-life-threatening injury, and is being treated at an area hospital. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unclear at this time.  MPD continues to seek suspect(s) for the shooting.

• Milwaukee Police are investigating a double non-fatal shooting that happened around 7:15 p.m. on May 25 in the 1600 block of S. 23rd Street.  The first victim is a 33-year-old woman and the second victim is a 28-year-old man. Both victims are being treated at an area hospital and are in stable condition. The shooting appears to be drug-related. MPD continues to seek suspect(s) for the shooting.

• Milwaukee Police are investigating a shooting that happened around 8:25 p.m. on May 25 in the 3300 block of N. 12th Street.  The victim, a 33-year-old female, sustained a non-life-threatening injury and is being treated at an area hospital. The victim was struck as occupants of two vehicles exchanged gunfire. MPD continues to seek suspect(s) for the shooting.

• Milwaukee Police are investigating a non-fatal shooting that happened around 10:50 p.m. on May 25 in the 2700 block of W. Auer Street.  The victim, a 51-year-old male, sustained a non-life-threatening injury and is being treated at an area hospital. The shooting occurred after a dispute between individuals. The victim does not appear to be the intended target of the shooting. MPD continues to seek suspect(s) for the shooting.
