Eight Men Sought In LA County In Connection With Videos Showing Sexual Assaults Of 10 Severely Disabled Women

Authorities are seeking help from the public to identify four men in sketches who were videotaped sexually assaulting disabled women in the LA County area.

Los Angeles, CA - On Thursday, CNN dot com reported that the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department was seeking help from the public to help identify four suspects in police composite sketches accused of sexually assaulting at least 10 severely disabled women. In March 2010, an unidentified person dropped off 11 DVD videos with 100 hours of recordings to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department headquarters in Monterey Park, California.
At least eight men are involved in the sexual assaults of disabled women, according to CNN's report. Authorities were able to get the sketches of four men, but the date, places or group homes where the assaults have occurred haven't been identified. Sheriff detectives don't know, if the assaults are continuing in the area. The videos were taken by security cameras and some were hand held when being video recorded, according to the LA Sheriff's Department.
Authorities are investigating the assaults and would like the person who dropped off the videos to contact them and provide them with information where and when the videos were taken. The tipster's name will be withheld or can call anonymously. CNN posted the following information to report any information that can help identify the suspects or places where it occurred. Detectives asked the tipster to call the anonymous Crime Stoppers communication system at 800-222-8477 and provide details on the video's origins. Authorities said, members of the public can also call the special victim bureau's hot line at (866) 247-5877. Information can also be provided anonymously by texting the letters TIPLA plus your tip to CRIMES (274637) or by accessing the Crime Stoppers website a www.lacrimestoppers.org, CNN dot com reported.
