Milwaukee Downtown Hyatt Regency Security Guards Allegedly Killed Unarmed Black Man Who Entered Hotel And Locked Himself In The Women's Restroom

Black man was exhibiting a mental disability before being beaten and knee choked by multiple Hyatt Regency Hotel security guards.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Sunday, June 30, 2024, Milwaukee police responded to the Milwaukee Downtown Hyatt Regency Hotel at 333 W. Kilbourn Ave. at around 3:23 p.m. for a call of battery/fight/assault. When police arrived they found 43-year-old Dvontaye L. Mitchell in front of the hotel who needed medical assistance and was having a difficult time breathing and needed life-saving measures. The life-saving measures failed.

According to a live Facebook streaming video by Shawn Moore, a local podcast social media broadcaster and community activist, Mitchell allegedly went into the Hyatt Regency and confronted the front desk service clerks, then he went into the women's bathroom and locked himself inside while a woman was inside. 

Mitchell was confronted by hotel security and assaulted him. The security guards beat the man, place their knees on the man's neck and back to restrain him and beat him with what seemed to be some kind of pole or blunt instrument (baton). Mitchell was struck in the head multiple times with the baton by a hotel security guard.  He became unresponsive and died after life-saving measures failed. Moore says, that the security guards went beyond their training and the man might have been exhibiting a mental disability.

Police are reviewing hotel surveillance video footage to determine how Mitchell died.

Josh Schoggins, general manager of the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Milwaukee released the following statement, "We are deeply saddened by this situation and our thoughts go out to those who have been affected. The safety and security of our guests and colleagues remains a top priority, and we are assisting local authorities with their investigation."

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office (MCMEO) pronounced Mitchell deceased at 4:11 p.m. at the scene.

The MCMEO confirmed, that Mitchell was homeless and the death investigation is headed by the Milwaukee Police Department Criminal Investigation Bureau-Homicide Division.

The preliminary manner of death was a homicide, according to the MCMEO.

Waukesha County Family Court Judge Ralph M. Ramirez Removed From The Julie Valadez v. Ricardo Valadez Divorce Case For Errors Committed, WI Court of Appeals Ruled Errors Were Made In The Case

Waukesha County family court Judge Ramirez allegedly committed multiple errors in the Julie Valadez v. Ricardo Valadez divorce case, the Wisconsin State Court of Appeals ruled once again in favor of Julie in the case, Julie had submitted a substitution of judge after the court of appeals confirmed errors were committed by Judge Ramirez.

Waukesha, Wisconsin - On Friday, Waukesha County family court Judge Ralph M. Ramirez was removed from the Julie Valadez v. Ricardo Valadez divorce case after the Wisconsin State Court of Appeals ruled in favor of Julie once again and found that Judge Ramirez committed errors in the case and did not follow state law, which if he would have, he would have reversed former Judge Michael J. Aprahamian's error to not to allow Julie to see or have contact with her 4 children. Judge Aprahamian was removed from the Valadez divorce case in February 2022, after the Wisconsin State Court of Appeals ruled that he committed errors in the case as well and didn't follow state law.

Judge Ramirez after getting assigned to the Valadez divorce case, he sustained Judge Aprahamian's decision to keep Julie from seeing or having her 4 children live with her. 

While, the divorce case was heard by Judge Aprahamian and then Judge Ramirez, there was no court hearing whether Julie was an unfit mother to keep her children. In fact, Julie and her former husband Ricardo never filed any petition to keep each other from seeing the children, but had a consensus at the time between them that allowed Julie to continue to have the children.

The Julie Valadez v. Ricardo Valadez divorce case in Waukesha County has shown how Judge Aprahamian and Judge Ramirez had engaged in multiple errors and legislating from the bench that resulted in blatant disregard of State laws that protect children and the mother during domestic abusive marriages that have children. Both Judge Aprahamian and Judge Ramirez have proven to be the most corrupt family bench judges that have ignored State laws and enacted decisions that have kept Julie from seeing her children, having contact with them, or having them live with her.

On May 1, 2024, Julie won her 5th Appellate reversal against the Waukesha County family court under Judge Ramirez and former Judge Aprahamian on the divorce case who have committed multiple errors and have ignored to abide to State laws, without accountability.

Today as a result of the Julie Valadez v. Ricardo Valadez divorce case, Julie is residing in Canada seeking asylum and is wanted in Walworth County for two frivolous felony counts of interfering with the custody of another parent. The criminal case against Julie and several other defendants is a result of Julie's son that voluntarily ran away from his abusive father and crossed into Canada to live with Julie.

Julie's son was later illegally forced by the Canadian government (immigration) to return to his abusive father.

Delaven Police Detective Trevor G. Hinman in Walworth County fraudulently filed a police report that Julie and another defendant had "kidnapped minor (Julie's son) to sexually assault", which was false. Det. Hinman attempted to used the fraudulent police report to get Julie and another defendant deported from Canada, but failed. Hinman Illegally tried to get Julie deported from Canada without having the U.S. State Department and FBI involved. When contacted, Jack Xian (Kathryn Alamea-Xian) confirmed on Sunday, that the Xian et al v. Jasmer et al Federal Civil Rights case 1:2023cv00211 in the District of Hawaii, which was seeking $88M in damages was dismissed early this year without prejudice, Xian plans to refile the federal Civil Rights lawsuit at a later date. 50-year-old Sam Molinar Fatally Shot In Milwaukee At The 3100 block of N. Buffum St., Police Seeking Suspect(S)

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Saturday, June 29, 2024, Milwaukee police responded around 6:45p.m. to the 3100 block of N. Buffum St. after a shooting was reported. When police arrived at the location, they found 50-year-old Sam Molinar with gunshot wounds. The victim died at the scene and was pronounced deceased at 7:12p.m., according to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office.

Molinar was identified in social media (Facebook) by acquaintances.

Police continue to investigate the fatal shooting and are seeking a suspect(s) in the case.

4 Shot At Milwaukee Southside BP Gas Station, 2 Adults And 2 Children (All Females), Police Seek Suspect(s)

Police continue their investigation into a quadruple shooting that hospitalized 2 adult females with life threatening injuries and 2 girls with non-life threatening gunshot injuries.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Wednesday, Milwaukee police around 2:29 p.m. responded to the 5900 block of W. Oklahoma Ave. to gunshits fired in the Southside of Milwaukee. When police arrived at the shooting scene they located 2 adult Black female victims ages 33 and 28 with life threatening gunshot injuries, in 2 young Black girls ages 9 and 4 with non-life threatening gunshot injuries. All the victims were transported to several hospitals in area including Children's Hospital.

According to police, the victims had pulled into the BP gas station when a suspect(s) fired into the vehicle with the female victims.

Police place more than 25 yellow evidence markers for spent bullet cartridges found at the crime scene.

The 33-year-old victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the head, thigh, arm and hip, and the 28-year-old victim suffered  multiple gunshots wounds to the shoulder, abdomen and arm. The 4-year-old girl suffered a bullet graze in her back, and the 9-year-old girl suffered a gunshot wound to her knee and a bullet grazed her head, according to a USFiR shooting incident report on social media (Facebook).

Police continue to review the gas station video surveillance camera footage to identity the suspect(s).

17-year-old Moses Xavier Martinez Charged With The Double Homicide Of Isaac Rodriguez-Duarte, 15, And Diego Francisco Herrera-Mejia, 16, Felony Warrant Issued For His Arrest

Martinez who has been charged in a double homicide remains on the run and an arrest warrant has been issued for his arrest in Milwaukee County.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Monday, Moses Xavier Martinez, 17, was criminally charged with two felony counts for 1st-degree intentional homicide including use of a dangerous weapon and one felony count for 1st-degree recklessly endangering safety including use of dangerous weapon for the June 15th double homicide of Isaac Rodriguez-Duarte, 15, and Diego Francisco Herrera-Mejia, 16, and the shooting of Emily Rocha, 14, who was shot in thigh and suffered a non-life threatening injury at the 900 block of W. Manitoba Ave. in the Southside of Milwaukee.

If convicted, Martinez is facing up to two life terms in prison without the possibility of parole for each count of 1st-degree intentional homicide, and facing up to 12 years and 5 months in prison for 1st-degree recklessly endangering safety and fines up to $25,000, or both.

According to the criminal complaint, Martinez allegedly shot at Rodriguez-Duarte, Herrera-Mejia after a brief altercation, and Martinez then fled in an electric scooter. Rocha who is Herrera-Mejia's cousin was also shot by Martinez.

Rodriguez-Duarte, Herrera-Mejia and Rocha were attending Herrera-Mejia's 16th Birthday party, when they decided to take a walk with other party participants when they were soon confronted by Martinez and another male suspect who were passing by in an electric scooter. A brief argument ignited and Martinez took out a handgun and then intentionally shot at the victims.

In a short video released to Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA), shows when multiple teens are running for their lives including multiple young children and one of the shooting victims attempts to run from the shooting, but falls to the ground when shot, as other teens attempted to provide aid. 

Rodriguez-Duarte was pronounced deceased at the crime scene and Herrera-Mejia was later pronounced deceased at Children's Hospital, according to the criminal complaint.

Soriano-Cabrera has been found guilty on 3 felony counts of sexually assaulting women, which some were employees of the C-Viche Restaurant on S. Kinickinnic Ave. in Bay View, now closed.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - A Milwaukee County jury on June 7th found Karlos J. Soriano-Cabrera, 41, guilty on 3 felony counts of 3rd-degree sexual assault and 1 misdemeanor count for 4th-degree sexual assault in the case that involved some women that were employed at the C-Viche Restaurant at the 2000 block of S. Kinickinnic Ave. in Bay View, now closed.

Soriano-Cabrera is facing up to 10 years in prison and up to $25,000 in fines, or both for each 3rd-degree sexual assault count, and up to 9 months in jail and up to $10,000 in fines, or both for 4th-degree sexual assault, a misdemeanor.

Soriano-Cabrera was taken into custody by the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office and is awaiting sentencing.

Soriano-Cabrera is scheduled for a sentencing hearing on July 11.

The criminal complaint says, some of the women Soriano-Cabrera sexually assaulted were employees at the C-Viche Restaurant in Bay View who claimed that they worked in a toxic environment in a daily basis, where he would expose himself, then assaulting them and sexual misconduct occurred in a daily basis. One of the woman says, that he grabbed her inappropriately, and made multiple attempts to corner her and kiss her at the restaurant. 

Several of the sexual assaults occurred inside the C-Viche on Bay View and in March 2017, a woman alleged that Soriano-Cabrera gave her a ride home and he forced her to give him oral sex near E. Locust and  N. Pierce. The woman told police that he put his hand in her back and directed her body to the downward position to perform the sex act. Among the employee female victims includes a patron.

The employees who were sexually assaulted claimed that Soriano-Cabrera used his position as the co-owner of C-Viche to force himself on them.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Tuesday, a Latino community activist released the identity and photo of the alleged 17-year-old Hispanic male suspect being sought by Milwaukee police in connection with the double homicide of Isaac Rodriguez-Duarte, 15, and Deigo Francisco Herrera-Mejia, 16, at the 900 block of W. Manitoba Ave. in the Southside of Milwaukee. The activist's name was included when the article was published by permission, but then the known Latino activist decided to recind the permission to identity him, which Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) will grant.

Herrera-Mejia's cousin, Emily Rocha, 14, was shot in the thigh and was treated for her non-life threatening injury.

A 16-year-old Hispanic male suspect was taken into custody on Saturday, June 15, 2024 in connection with the triple shooting, resulting in two homicides.

The 16-year-old suspect is being detained at the Milwaukee County juvenile detention center, pending criminal charges.

17-year-old Moses Martinez is being sought by police in connection with the Rodriguez and Herrera-Mejia homicides.

One of the deceased victim's family member alleged that Martinez was the homicide suspect that fatally shot both Rodriguez and Herrera-Mejia. 

Videos released to Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) by a source who wants to stay anonymous shows Rodriguez and Herrera-Mejia who was celebrating his 16th birthday walking along the sidewalk at the 900 block of W. Manitoba Ave. with a group of teens from a nearby family birthday party, then the teens can be seen running back and one of the homicide victims attempted to escape from getting shot, but fell over when struck by gunfire as other teens come to his aid and multiple young children could also be seen running for their lives in the video.

The 16-year-old male suspect and Martinez, 17, were riding in an electric scooter when they had a brief argument and confrontation with victims. The suspects then fled in the electric scooter after the shooting.
