Mexican Sisters Used Facebook To Find Boyfriends To Kidnap For Ransom

Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico - On Tuesday both sisters, Rosa Angélica Morales Martínez, 18,  and Karla Morales Martínez, 19, originally from Tijuana were taken into custody by agents of the Sinaloa Anti-kidnapping Unit in the municipality of Rosario, Sinaloa in connection with the December 12, 2013 kidnapping of a U.S. student from the University of San Diego. The Martínez sisters were wanted in Tijuana for kidnapping charges, but had fled to Rosario to avoid prosecution. 

Rosa is accused of using Facebook to befriend the student and later their friendship progressed to a boyfriend and girlfriend relationship. The sister's intent was to eventually kidnapped the student and get a ransom. 

On December, the student from the University of San Diego who resided at the Guaycura Gardens neighborhood met Rosa for a date. The sisters with the help of three other suspects, Luis Fernando Valenzuela Jiménez, 18, Jesus Everardo Moreno Valencia, 27, and Luis Fernando Quintero Ontiveros kidnapped the student at gunpoint.

The next day, they contacted the family that the 23-year-old student was kidnapped and that they wanted $170,000 dollars ransom to release the victim. Five days later, authorities found the location of the safehouse in Vista Bella where the kidnapping victim was being held and two of the suspects, Luis Fernando Valenzuela Jiménez and Jesus Everardo Moreno Valencia were taken into custody. 

Jiménez told authorities that he was recruited by the sisters and at the time he was unemployed. He used some of the ransom money to buy clothes and other items. In one kidnapping case, they got $20,000 pesos ($1,539 U.S.) and a second, they received $40,000 pesos ($3,077 U.S.), according to Jiménez. 

Then in April of this year, Luis Fernando Quintero Ontiveros was taken into custody.

The suspects confessed that Rosa was the leader of the kidnapping gang and that they participated in three kidnappings in Tijuana. The sisters used Facebook to lure victims with friendships and relationships. Three kidnapping cases that the gang committed are still pending, according to the Baja California Delinquency, Kidnapping and Organized Crime Investigating Unit.

Bakersfield,  California - On Tuesday, a neigbor's pitbull dog attacked a small boy riding his bicycle in front of his home. The dog took a bite of the boy's leg and then began to drag him. 

Tara, the boy's pet cat noticed the attack and jumps into action. The cat then attacked the dog and chased him away. All of the action was caught on home video surveillance. 

The video was posted on YouTube by Roger Triantafilo, who titled the video 'My cat saved my son' and also wrote, "My cat defends my son from a vicious dog attack and runs the dog off before he can do additional damage. Thankfully my son is fine!"

The boy was hospitalized and received six stitches to close the dog bite wounds. The Triantafilo family say, the neighbor's pitbull dog was located and is being checked for rabies.

Patterson Wanted In Connection With Rivera's Homicide In Milwaukee

Milwaukee, WI - On Friday, Jimmy D. Patterson Jr., 28, was charged with one count of felony murder and one count for possession of a weapon by a felon in connection with the May 5, South side homicide of Jose Rivera, 32, aka, "El Chino." A warrant has been issued for Patterson. 

Police say, Rivera was fatally shot at the 700 block of S. 32 Street while sitting inside a vehicle with a friend, who was driving. They went to the residence with intent to buy marijuana, but as they sat outside in the vehicle, Patterson apparently showed up in another vehicle. He approached both Rivera and his friend and attempted to rob them. In the process, Patterson fired several shots into the vehicle striking and killing Rivera. Rivera's friend was not reported injured.

The driver witness later identified Patterson from some mugshots as the shooter. Patterson lived about three blocks away from the crime scene and was staying at the 3000 block of W. National Ave. Patterson remains at large and is being sought for Rivera's murder, according to police.

Las Vegas, Nevada - Alberto Aguilera Valadez, 64, also known by his stage name as Juan Gabriel had been hospitalized several times after battle with pneumonia, a slight heart condition and high blood pressure at the Southern Hills Hospital. He says, that he is looking forward to begin his tour on September 5, in Miami.

In one of his recent tweets on May 11, Gabriel wrote that he even got spooked by the rumors that he had passed away. Gabriel indicates that it is all a hoax going viral.

 

Jobe Charged For Paige's Homicide On Mother's Day

Milwaukee, WI - On Tuesday, Dwayne Delshawn Jobe, 28, was charged with one felony count of first-degree reckless homicide and one count for possession of a weapon by a felon. Jobe, who remains at large is wanted for fatally shooting Herman Paige, 47, owner of Big C's Blues Lounge, 2779 N 12th Street on Sunday, May 4. A warrant was issued on Tuesday for Jobe. If convicted, Jobe is facing more than 77 years in prison.

Jobe and family members were having a birthday party at Big C's on Saturday. When the party ended. Paige was closing the bar when Jobe's mother went to use the bathroom. Jobe wanted to stay behind and wait for his mother, but Paige earged Jobe to wait outside. He refused and was forcibly removed from the bar.

While outside, a fight broke out and Jobe left and then returned with a weapon. His mother tried to calm Jobe, but he fired one shot in the air outside and then went inside and fired three shots striking Paige twice who died at the scene from his injuries.

Witnesses at the scene identified Jobe as the shooter and police were able to recover surveillance video footage of the incident.

Anyone Caught Feeding The Homeless In Daytona Beach Park Is Cited

Florida (HNNUSA) -Daytona Beach Police cited Christian group for feeding the poor on May 7, 2014 at Manatee Island Park. Each volunteer was given a $375 fined for a 2nd degree misdemeanor totalling $ 2,238 for violating a city ordinance that prohibits persons or groups from feeding the homeless or poor.
The group founders, Chico and Debbie Jiménez, were celebrating a birthday and were handing out free food without a permit to have a party at the park. They also had been handing out free food at least once a week at the park, which is funded by private donations.
The Christian group was banned from the park, according to police. The Jiménez will challenge the city citations.
Daytona Beach is among a dozen other cities that enacted ordinances to prohibit the distribution of food to the homeless, unless it is in coordination with a social service agency, according to Police Chief Mike Chitwood.
Shameful of the heartless Daytona Beach Police, the city council and the mayor for letting it happen. You don't see the police, city council or mayor making an effort to feed the homeless.

26-year-old Man Caught Having Sex With A Pig At The Aguascalientes Livestock Expo

Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, Mexico - On May 5, around 1:30 a.m. municipal police arrested Álvaro Octavio Cleto Ramos, 26, after threatening a night security guard with knife at the Isla San Marcos Livestock Exposition (ISMLE). Ramos was caught having sex with a pig. The guard heard the pig squealing out loud and went to investigate. He saw Ramos in a sex act with a pig inside a corral. Ramos was on his knees crouched over penetrating a small pig from behind, according to the ISMLE security guard.

Ramos then threatened the guard with a knife and told him, if he said anything he was going to get him.

Police were called to the scene and arrested Ramos not for having sex with a pig, but for threatening the ISMLE security guard with a knife, according to the local Ministry complaint.
