Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Tuesday, Christian Jackson, 31, appeared at a Milwaukee County court for an initial appearance to face one felony count for 1st-degree reckless homicide and use of a dangerous weapon for the June 4, 2025 homicide of Vincent Torres, 45, in the Southside of Milwaukee. A felony warrant for his arrest was issued on September 26, when criminal charges were filed against Jackson.

According to the criminal complaint, on June 4, 2025, around 9:30 p.m., Milwaukee police responded to shots fired at the 1600 block of S. 11 Street in the Southside of Milwaukee and located a deceased 45-year-old Hispanic male in the sidewalk, just steps away from his residence.

Jackson allegedly got into an argument with Torres's son and left the scene, but he returned and fired at least 5 shots at Torres in a drive-by shooting, according to police.

Torres, who was originally from Dallas, Texas died from a fatal gunshot wound to the chest at the scene.
