Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office Identified 74-year-old Crash Victim Who Died In Franklin And Two Homicide Male Victims From Recent Separate Murders In The Southside Of Milwaukee

The 74-year-old male driver who died in a two vehicle crash in Franklin has been identified and two male homicide victims in separate murders in the Southside of Milwaukee have also been identified by the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Monday, the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office (MCMEO) identified James Charles Riegling, 74, of Franklin as the driver who died after Leonel Molina Rios, 58, of Greenfield crossed the center medium striking Riegling's vehicle. Riegling died at the scene including his dog who accompanied the victim at the time of the crash. Riegling's vehicle had a Military Veterans license plate on his vehicle.

Riegling's funeral services are being held in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Molina Rios has been charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and knownly operate a vehicle without a license causing the death of Riegling in a two vehicle crash on November 2, 2024 in Franklin. 

If convicted, Molina Rios is facing up to 25 years in prison and up to $100,000 in fines, or both for homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, and up to 6 years in prison and up to $25,000 in fines, or both for knownly operating a vehicle without a license. 

A $150,000 cash bail has been set for Molina Rios until his preliminary court appearance on November 15, 2024.

Molina Rios is well known in the Milwaukee Latino community for being a popular Spanish Speaking radio personality and a former member of the Wisconsin Brown Berets.

Also the MCMEO identified Mohamad Mohamad, 35, who was discovered at 10:12 p.m. fatally shot at the 3100 block of S. 35 Street on November 7, 2024, in the rear inside of a vehicle according to Milwaukee police.

The other homicide victim was identified as Charles Bobo, 33, who was discovered beside a residence at 9:53 p.m. fatally shot on November 7, 2024 at the 2100 block of S. 26 Street in the Southside of Milwaukee.
