West Allis, Wisconsin - On Tuesday, July 23, 2024, Vice-President Kamala Harris (D), 59, will officially begin her campaign as a presumptive candidate for the Democrat nominee for U.S. President in Wisconsin at the West Allis Central High School gym after 1:00 p.m.. President Joe Biden (D), 81, announced on Sunday, that he will not run for reelection after being pressured by corporate Dems quit the campaign for his nomination as the candidate for the Democrat Party. Biden's age and poor debate performance against former U.S. President Donald J. Trump (R-MAGA), 78, raised issues about aging health and mental stability.
Biden was favored to win in November 2024, but, Biden's surprised announcement not to seek reelection just four months from the presidential election paves the way for Trump to be reelected.
Biden confirmed that he will finish his term.
Vice-President Harris previously ran for the Democratic nomination for President in 2020 and did very poorly and was rejected, which she had to quit her campaign early. Harris was endorsed by Biden as the next presumptive candidate for the Democrat nomination for President and has raised more than $100M in campaign donations since, Biden decided not to run for reelection in November 2024. Another $150M in campaign donations for the Biden reelection campaign were on hold after it became obvious that Biden might not run again and pressured to quit, and now that donation funding could be released to the Harris for President campaign.
Every time, the Dems turn on their Democrat nominee before an election, the Republicans win, according to previous elections.
