Milwaukee, WI - On Saturday, two gas station store attendants working in the 4900 block of W. Lisbon were taken to a local hospital after they were beaten with their own wooden bats. According to police and a video on social network, the gas attendants before 9:30 p.m. confronted a suspect who allegedly stole an item. The suspect began to argue with the attendants and went outside and began to agitate one of the workers. The worker grabbed a wooden bat and the second attendant also got his bat, and went outside. The suspect threw a trash can at the workers standing behind the glass door.
The suspect then confronted one of the attendants, struggled and took his bat away while the second worker tried to hit the suspect. The suspect struck one worker, knocked him down with a blow to the head and then went after the second worker and beat both of them with the bat while several women were encouraging the suspect to beat them.
The suspect then fled, but was arrested Sunday and is expected to be charged with two counts of assault and shoplifting, according to police.
