23-year-old Gregory Renfro III Speaks Out About Being Savagely Beaten By 6 Individuals At Big Sharks Fish & Chicken Who Included Racial Slurs In The Attack

Renfro III is now recovering from a brutal beating by 6 individuals at Big Sharks Fish & Chicken fast food restaurant at N. 34 Street and W. North Ave., the restaurant is operated by Maher T. Ayad.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Tuesday, Gregory Dale Renfo III, 23, confirmed to Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) that he was not under the influence of any drugs, substance or alcohol when he committed indoor property damage at Big Sharks Fish & Chicken fast food restaurant located in the 3400 block of W. North Ave. on November 21, 2022. That night, Renfro III says that he was actually suffering from being tired from working various shifts as a manager and was hungry. He just wanted to get some food to eat.

Renfro III went to Big Sharks Fish & Chicken for some food with a female co-worker, and while ordering the food, the male cashier who was taking the order began to flirt with Renfro III's co-worker and was ignoring him as he attempted to order. Renfro III apparently complained about the poor service he was getting to the cashier and the male cashier told him "to get your Black ass out," that's when Renfro III says he just reacted and began to trash or to engage in property damage, which several videos posted on social media by Tre Bono and OT Taee showed the indoor incident at Big Sharks Fish & Chicken. The videos were later taken down, but HNNUSA was able to get copies. The longer video (23 minute) version by Tre Bono shows Renfro III throwing soda, a chair including other actions leading to property damage. It also shows at least 6 individuals who walked in including some employees from the restaurant attacking Renfro III with weapons (sticks). The individuals punched, kicked and struck Renfro III multiple times until he managed to run out of the restaurant as the individuals followed him while continuing to repeatedly striking him.

OT Taee's short social media video shows a close up of the multiple individuals striking and assaulting Renfro III as he exited the restaurant. They caught up with Renfro III at a nearby field and began to kick, punch, strike him with the long sticks and stump on Renfro III's head, neck and back multiple times to the point that he temporarily lost consciousness a couple of times, according to Renfro III.

It took more than 15 minutes for police to arrive at the scene. Police took Renfro III into custody. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment and then was taken to the Milwaukee County jail for booking. The nurse at the Milwaukee County jail refused to admit Renfro III at the jail and he was returned to the hospital for a complete medical examination including a head injury scanning.

Renfro III was later booked at the Milwaukee County jail and spent four days and nights in jail. According to the criminal complaint, Renfro III was charged on November 23, with one felony count for criminal damage to property (over $2,500), court records indicate. Renfro III was released on a $2,500 signature bond.

According to court records, Renfro III has no prior criminal record or convictions.

Milwaukee police and the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office charged Renfro III with a felony for property damage, but failed to criminally charge the 6 individuals who attacked Renfro III with weapons committing felony assault and battery with intent to cause injury for savagely and brutally beating up Renfro III to the point of unconsciousness. The criminal complaint shows that Renfro III is prohibited from contacting at least 5 individuals who attacked him that were just identified by initials in the complaint against Renfro III.

Renfro III who is gradually recovering from the brutal beating by at least 6 individuals at Big Sharks Fish & Chicken released photos showing his healing wounds in his arm, neck and back.

Darryl King Rick Farmer II from the Original Black Panthers of Milwaukee released the following statement, "THE BRUTAL ASSAULT THAT TRANSPIRED AT BIG SHARKS CHICKEN AND FISH IN MILWAUKEE IS UNACCEPTABLE AND INTOLERABLE!! THERE WAS A DISAGREEMENT BETWEEN A CUSTOMER AND EMPLOYEE!! RACIAL INDIGNATIONS WERE SAID TO THE CUSTOMER WHO BECAME OFFENDED AND OUTRAGED!! WORDS WERE EXCHANGED AND PROPERTY DAMAGE OCCURRED!! THE EMPLOYEE WHO WAS BEHIND SAFETY GLASS TOOK IT UPON HIMSELF TO CALL THE POLICE AND FRIENDS ALONG WITH FAMILY MEMBERS!! A GROUP OF THUGS ENTERED THE RESTAURANT AND THEN BRUTALLY AND VICIOUSLY ASSAULTED THE VICTIM WITH STICKS AND CLUBS!! CHASING HIM OUT AND CONTINUED THE ASSAULT IN A NEARBY FIELD!! THIS CAUSED SEVERE INJURIES TO THE VICTIM!! THIS IS INTOLERABLE AND UNACCEPTABLE!! WE ARE DEMANDING THAT ASSAULT AND BATTERY FELONY CHARGES AGAINST THE THUGS BE BROUGHT!! WE ARE ALSO DEMANDING THE IMMEDIATE CLOSURE OF THIS BUSINESS DUE THEIR  BRUTAL ASSAULT!! THE MAYOR CAVALIER JOHNSON, THE D.A. JOHN CHISHOLM AND THE ALDERMAN RUSSELL STAMPER MUST BECOME INVOLVED TO HELP JUSTICE BE SERVED! WE ARE ASKING EVERY COMMUNITY INDIVIDUAL TO STOP SPENDING MONEY THERE DUE TO THIS!! JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED AND BIG SHARKS CHICKEN AND FISH PERMANENTLY SHUT DOWN!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!"

Update:

HNNUSA has learned that Ayad Maher who operates the Big Sharks Fish & Chicken fast food restaurant at the 3400 block of W. North Avenue is planning to open a second Big Sharks Fish & Chicken fast food restaurant at 8333 W. Appleton Ave. located at the corner of W. Appleton and W. Hampton Avenues at the beginning of 2023.

The following Facebook posts in the Big Sharks Mke FB page responding to a backlash of posts about the incident stated, "...we did call police the guy was out of control he was there for more that 30 min he intended to hurt employees if he mentally ill shouldn’t be on the street destroying peoples property His girlfriend was with him and said that he was on mushrooms.and we did refund his money back before all that happened...What happed is wrong and unacceptable employees where in fear and danger and we all humans and we all make mistakes we have to come together fix problems instead for making it worse...he was making death treats we are sorry it went the way it did may justice be served to all communities and god bless everyone involved."

It seems that the individual (page administrator) posting comments on the Big Sharks Mke page agrees that everyone should get justice including Renfro III, which those who brutally attacked him with weapons (sticks) should also be be criminally charged as was Renfro III. Renfro III's criminal complaint also includes the initials (MTA) for Maher T. Ayad, who Renfro III is prohibited from contacting.

Mexican Feds Issued Homicide Warrant And Extradition Request For Daejhanae Jackson, 26, In Connection With The October 29 Death Of Shanquella Robinson, 25, In San Jose Del Cabo

The Mexican State attorney general of Baja California in Mexico confirmed that an arrest warrant for murder and extradition request had been issued on November 24 against a U.S. female citizen who was later identified as a 26-year-old from N. Carolina.

Charlotte, N. Carolina - On Saturday, federal authorities in the U.S. arrested Daejhanae Jackson, 26, of Jackson on a homicide warrant from Mexico, which also is seeking her extradition in connection with the October 29, 2022 brutal homicide of Shanquella Robinson, 25, at a resort villa in San Jose del Cabo in the State of Baja California in Mexico.

On November 24, Antonio Lopez Rodriguez, the attorney general for the State of Baja California confirmed that a warrant and an extradition request were issued for a U.S. female citizen in connection with the murder of Robinson at the Club de Play, a resort.

Robinson along with Jackson and five other suspects arrived at the resort on October 28.

A video posted on social media showed Jackson brutally beating Robinson who was naked in a room while another suspect video recorded the altercation.

Jackson was arrested by U.S. authorities and is being extradited to Mexico to face homicide charges in Robinson's homicide.

Mexican authorities indicated that the other suspects could also face extradition as the murder case develops.

The suspects that remain free in the U.S. pending the outcome of the case are Kalil Cooke (male) of Charlotte, Malik Dyer (male), Wenter Donovan (female) of Greensboro, Alysse Hyatt (female) of Winston Salem and Nazeer Wiggins (male) of Charlotte.

According to the mexican criminal complaint, Donovan called for medical assistance at the Villa Linda 32 resort around 2:13 p.m. on October 29. A local female doctor from the American Medical Center arrived an hour later and worked to keep Robinson alive for at least 2 hours and 45 minutes. Robinson was having a difficult time breathing and was experiencing seizures. At 4:20 p.m., an ambulance was called.

Police arrived at 5:25 p.m. and at 5:57 p.m., Dr. Karolina Beatrice Ornelas Gutierrez pronounced Robinson dead.

Apparently, according to Robinson's mother, the deceased 25-year-old victim died from a broken neck and a severed spinal cord injury, according to an autopsy report by Mexican authorities. 

All the suspects left Mexico and returned to the U.S.

So far, Milwaukee has had 203 homicides this year, in 2021, 196 homicides were reported and in 2020, 190 homicides, according to the Milwaukee Police Department homicide stats.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin- On early Sunday, November 20, 2022, just before 3:01 a.m. Milwaukee police responded to shots fired at the 2600 block of S. 6 Street near W. Cleveland Ave. in the Southside of Milwaukee. When police arrived at the scene, they found Joseph Rodriguez Rios, 33, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Rios died at the scene, according to police.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office ruled the death a homicide.

Police are searching for a suspect(s) and are investigating the circumstances leading to the homicide.

On Thursday, November 17, 2022 at around 11:15 a.m., Milwaukee responded to shots fired at the 700 block of S. 20 Street near W. National Ave. and discovered Ronan Jermaine Kyles, 49, shot multiple times. The victim succumbed to his injuries.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner ruled the shooting death a homicide. 

Police have recovered nearby surveillance camera footage from the Christo Rey Jesuit High School outdoor area and Advance Auto Parts store in order to identify the suspect(s).

Police say, the circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation and unknown suspect(s) are being sought in the case.

Eloy Martinez Vazquez Charged With Multiple Felony Counts For Assaulting Several Laredo Police Officers Including An Investigator During Traffic Stop

Martinez Vazquez was arrested and charged with multiple felony counts for assaulting several Laredo Police officers including an investigator.

Laredo, Texas - On Tuesday, Eloy Martinez Vazquez, 28, was charged in Webb County for two felony counts of assault on a police officer, bond was set at $20,000 each count; evading arrest/detention (felony), bond was set at $3,000, and one misdemeanor count for of resisting arrest, bond was set at $3,000, totalled $46,000.

If convicted, Martinez Vazquez is facing between 2 years to 10 years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines for each felony count of assault of a police officer. Martinez Vazquez is also facing up to 2 years in prison for one felony count of evading arrest and up to $10,000 in fines, and is facing up to 12 months in jail and up to $4,000 in fines for one misdemeanor count of resisting arrest.

According to the criminal complaint, Laredo Police Officer Valerie Carpio made the initial traffic stop on Monday, November 21, 2022 around 8:14 p.m. at Madison Street and Eagle Pass Ave. near the Lafayette Bridge located in the Canta Ranas neighborhood. Martinez Vazquez who was driving a black Dodge Charger apparently ran a stop sign and was stopped by Officer Carpio. She called for backup. When a warrant check was initiated, it came back that Martinez Vazquez had an active warrant from the Webb County Sheriff's Office for possession of marijuana.

Officer Carpio and Laredo Police Investigator Severiano Medina III, 36, who arrived at the scene attempted to arrest Martinez Vazquez and they got into an altercation with the suspect. A taser was deployed by Officer Carpio and Investigator Medina III was also tased along with the suspect and he fell to the ground striking his head, injured himself in the fall and altercation, Martinez Vazquez then fled the scene on foot and was later arrested.

Investigator Medina III suffered multiple injuries and was hospitalized and later released, according to the Laredo Police Department.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Monday night, just before 9:30 p.m., an unidentified Black man began to trash the inside dining area after employees from the Big Sharks Fish & Chicken located at the 3400 block of W. North Ave. failed to refund his money after he complained about the food service. The Black man began to throw chairs, a drink, menus and other items for at least 8 minutes before a group of 6 male co-workers from Big Sharks arrived, three of them had sticks (weapons) and began to savagely assault the man with the sticks and other employees punched and kicked the Black man as he was on the floor, according to a 23 minute live Facebook (FB) video posted by Tre Beno and video posted by OT Taee .

The Black man managed to get up and dashed out of the restaurant as the group of co-workers from Big Sharks chased him on the street and finally catching up to him at a field across the restaurant and continued to beat him and restrained him until police arrived. It took more than 15 minutes for police to arrive at the scene, according to the live FB video.

The medical condition of the Black male is unknown.

Laredo Police Investigator Severiano Medina III Injured In Hit-and-run After Traffic Stop, Suspect Arrested

Laredo, Texas - On Monday, November 21, 2022 just before 9:00 p.m., Laredo police, U.S. Border Patrol, Texas Department of Public Saftey troopers and Webb County Sheriff's deputies responded to the Lafayette Bridge by Madison Street and Eagle Pass Ave. located in the Canta Ranas neighborhood after a Laredo police investigator was reported injured in a hit-and-run incident, the Laredo Police Department reported.

According to the law enforcement preliminary investigation, Laredo Police Investigator Severiano Medina III, 36, was reported injured after a suspect struck the investigator with his vehicle and then fled the scene.

Investigator Medina apparently made a traffic stop by the Lafayette Bridge and got into an altercation with a suspect who managed to get back into his vehicle and strike Medina with the vehicle and then fled.

A passerby, stopped to aid Medina and was able to call 911.

The suspect was later arrested pending felony charges, according to police sources.

Investigator Medina was hospitalized and is in stable condition, the Laredo Police Department says.

Medina was promoted to investigator on January 2021, according to the Laredo Police Department.

Waukesha County Judge Jennifer R. Dorow Allowed Applauds In Court Room After Each Life Sentence Handed To Darrell E. Brooks Jr. For The Christmas Holiday Parade Carnage In 2021

Those attending including the family members of some of the Waukesha County Christmas Holiday Parade carnage victims in 2021 were allowed by Judge Dorow to applaud after each life sentence she handed down at Brooks Jr.

Waukesha, Wisconsin - On Wednesday, Darrell E. Brooks Jr., 39, stood silently during his sentencing to six consecutive life terms without the possibility of parole for the deaths of six victims he ran over without stopping during the City of Waukesha Christmas Holiday Parade in 2021. Waukesha County Circuit Court Judge Jennifer R. Dorow allowed for those attending including family members of the victims during the sentencing hearing to applaud after each consecutive life sentence given to Brooks Jr. Brooks Jr. also received more than 1,067 years of additional sentencing for 61 felony counts of 1st-degree endangering safety, which included 61 victims that suffered injuries, each count totalled 17 years and six months sentence including 12 years of confinement and 5 years of extended supervision for each count consecutive to any other sentence that was imposed by Judge Dorow. 

A total of 762 years and 6 months in prison and 305 years of extended supervision in addition to 6 life terms.

Brooks Jr. was sentenced to an additional 150 years in prison for hit-and-run related charges. Brooks Jr. was sentenced to 25 years in prison including 15 years of confinement and 10 years of extended supervision for each of the six felony counts for hit-and-run causing death and an additional 6 years in prison with 3 years confinement and 3 years supervision for bail jumping, which should be served concurrently with the homicide counts and an additional 9 months in jail for battery to be served consecutively to other counts.

The 6 deceased victims were identified as: 

• Virginia Sorenson, 79-year-old female 

• LeAnna Owen, 71-year-old female 

• Tamara Durand, 52-year-old female 

• Jane Kulich, 52-year-old female 

• Wilhelm Hospel, 81-year-old male

• Jackson Sparks, 8-year-old child

According to the criminal complaint, Brooks Jr. on November 21, 2021 drove through a parade route with his vehicle in the City of Waukesha during a Christmas Holiday Parade without stopping striking numerous parade participants and spectators including children. At least 6 victims died from injuries and 61 other victims suffered injuries during the hit-and-run incident.
