Two Southside Homicide Victims In Separate Deaths Identified As Joseph Rodriguez Rios, 33, And Ronan Jermaine Kyles, 49

So far, Milwaukee has had 203 homicides this year, in 2021, 196 homicides were reported and in 2020, 190 homicides, according to the Milwaukee Police Department homicide stats.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin- On early Sunday, November 20, 2022, just before 3:01 a.m. Milwaukee police responded to shots fired at the 2600 block of S. 6 Street near W. Cleveland Ave. in the Southside of Milwaukee. When police arrived at the scene, they found Joseph Rodriguez Rios, 33, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Rios died at the scene, according to police.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office ruled the death a homicide.

Police are searching for a suspect(s) and are investigating the circumstances leading to the homicide.

On Thursday, November 17, 2022 at around 11:15 a.m., Milwaukee responded to shots fired at the 700 block of S. 20 Street near W. National Ave. and discovered Ronan Jermaine Kyles, 49, shot multiple times. The victim succumbed to his injuries.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner ruled the shooting death a homicide. 

Police have recovered nearby surveillance camera footage from the Christo Rey Jesuit High School outdoor area and Advance Auto Parts store in order to identify the suspect(s).

Police say, the circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation and unknown suspect(s) are being sought in the case.
